And this is for you Wil: Thank you! Thank you for all the awesome stuff that you do, thanks for being an awesome person, thanks for making me laugh time-and-time again, and above all else, thanks for not being a dick!
Mental Floss really likes Tabletop, and I talk to Nerdist about Second Watch
Two things for you, free of charge. 1. Mental Floss said really nice things about Tabletop: So Wil Wheaton has a YouTube show about boardgames, and it’s awesome. It’s called TableTop, and it’s a long-form (about a half hour per episode) look at various good boardgames, including a basic explana...

It was actually streamed live, and will be put up on teh interwebz....sometime
How was your PAX?
I'm on set for Eureka, tethering to the Internets through a mobile hotspot, using my iPad to post with the Typepad app. This is, as they say, less than optimal for blogging. However, I wanted to put a post up for PAX stuff, until I can write a proper post in the next few days. I had a wonderful ...
My pax experience consisted of watching "The Last Will and Testament of Jim Dark-Magic I", and I must say, it was awesome. Thanks to YOU Wil for making my PAX experience awesome for making me laugh my ass off for two whole hours! Sure it may not have been the largest PAX experience...but it was fun!

Yea, I don't find the fun in wow either, I like actually rolling dice (while also having the option to "play god") and WoW just isn't fun to me, all the story-less grinding.....BUT, THATS HARDLY THE POINT OF YOUR ARTICLE!
I'm glad you had fun, I've never done it so I have no idea what all of the "technical" stuff you're writing means, but as long as you had fun, that's what matters, that, and you got BEER! I honestly don't care what it is I'm doing as long as I'm having fun, making beer, may try it some day...
in which my son and i bottle our beer
I walked down the hallway toward the guest room, and started talking before I got to the door. "Hey, I just looked at my calendar, and I miscalculated when we should bottle our beer." I stepped off the wood floor of the hallway and onto the soft carpet we just had installed. I involuntarily squi...
A food wizard you say? Maybe you should rename your character for the PAX DnD game to Al Food-Magic?
on birthdays and making beer
Anne and I took the train up to Santa Barbara for my birthday, and it was awesome. Because I've complained about Amtrak employees who were dicks in the past (K. Williams on the southbound Surfliner to Comicon, I'm looking in your snotty, sarcastic, condescending direction), it's important to me ...
Homebrewer of games? Yea, I've dabbled. Homebrewer of beer? Nope, mostly due to the under 21 thing...and me being really lazy.
In which my son and I make our own beer
Ryan is going to be 22 at the end of the month. For those of you who have been here since I wrote the 13 on 31 post, you now know how I feel every single day. The rest of you can get off my lawn before I call your parents. So the other day, he and I were having a beer together, and Ryan said, "W...
Wow, great story. I'm a generally new reader who has been reading your blog for about 3-4 weeks (because honestly I knew you from the guild but I never actually knew who you were until I watch a PAX DnD game with you in it). The story itself was great, and what I got from it was A. Shit Happens, and B. Having Authority is win. After reading this maybe I will buy one of your books or something, dunno which one...but one of em. Nice read and keep the awesome blog-y-ness coming!
Because it's become a yearly tradition, here's a story about fireworks
I've written hundreds of thousands of words over the years, but this remains one of my all-time favorites, so I like to revisit it every year. It was originally written and published on July 5, 2002, which usually feels like years and days ago all at once, but this year actually feels like a lif...
Me (and a lot of people I know) still thinks the original Tron still holds up today just fine.
Is this something you can share with the rest of us Amazing Larry?!
Anne went to bed before I was tired last night. Being a good husband who doesn't want to get The Wrath, I opted to head into my office on the other side of the house to watch a little TV before I went to sleep, instead of sitting in our bed and watching TV there. (Yes, we live in a house that is...
