Good morning you lovely lot! One step closer to the weekend (hoorah!). After a rather challenging week so far, I can honestly tell you that sharing beautiful weddings like this helps to bring a little ray of light into my day! This beautifully photographed wedding (we have Eddie Judd to thank for that) is of Yoga teacher Karen and Classics Teacher Tom, who tied the knot on 20th July last year at Guildhall Crypts in London. I really adore the draping and fit of Karen's Maria Grachvogel gown and the couple's wedding venue is pretty amazing! “In choosing such a... Continue reading

For our second wedding feature of today, photographer Sarah Ann Wright is sharing her images of Hannah and Joss's lovely Summer garden wedding. The couple tied the knot on 3rd August last year, at Friars Court in Clanfield, The Cotswolds and Hannah wore gown by designer Matthew Williamson, which she purchased from his flagship London store. “I was very inspired by the Cotswolds garden setting and wanted very natural flowers and a rustic feel. We were also inspired by the glamour of the 1920s – sequins and three-piece suits – I guess if I had to use a form of... Continue reading

It's lunch time - hoorah! And we're delighted to be able to bring you a little film to enjoy over your break. This absolutely beautifully crafted super 8mm retro style movie was created by Cine Reportage and documents Northern Ballet dancers Hannah and Kenny on their wedding at Allerton Castle in Yorkshire in June last year. Bride Hannah shared her thoughts on working with Cine Reportage film maker Will below - please take a moment to watch this beautiful film, it really is wonderful. "The day itself was just incredible but the whole experience from start to finish, all the... Continue reading

Good morning all. Thank you so, so much for your patience during the continued cyber-attack on our host, Typepad, which we are fully aware has caused accessibility issues these past few days. We're keeping our fingers very firmly crossed today and hoping we're through the worst of it now. Time I think to shift focus onto our first feature of the day, a really uplifting and colourful wedding sent in by photographer Sarah Gawler, who was commissioned to document the relaxed and elegant Summer wedding of Psychologist Katy and her visual effects artist husband Mike. The couple tied the knot... Continue reading

Today it is my great pleasure to introduce Rachel Ash Bridalwear, a unique bridal boutique located in the Midlands. 'The sun is always shining in Rachel Ash, we like to laugh and enjoy life (although strictly not before 11am for Rach). The shop is a reflection of our personalities. It’s relaxed and comfy, yet glamorously luxe.' Rachel (the blonde) and Ash (the brunette) are sisters-in-law-to-be (hopefully, if he ever asks!) who share a deep passion for weddings. Rachel always dreamt of owning her own bridal boutique and Ash wanted to get out of the office and do something creative and... Continue reading

We are *so* happy to be here this morning!! We'll be updating you with further information soon, but we apologise from our hearts that Love My Dress® was inaccessible for most of yesterday and we are so grateful for your emails, tweets and Facebook messages of support. This was due to a 'Denial of Service' attack on our platform, Typepad - an incident that had impact on all Typepad blogs all over the world. It's something Typepad are still working to resolve, so we're keeping all our fingers and toes crossed that we can continue to bring you beautiful wedding... Continue reading

It might well be Easter Sunday (how much chocolate already?!?) but its also been a very busy time of late with many designers launching new collections and vying for space on the wedding blogs to showcase their new creations to the world. I thought I'd loan our page space today to two designers whose collections have really grabbed my attention this season, starting with Elizabeth Stuart. I was unable to attend her independent runway show held at B1 Victoria House earlier this month in support of Cancer Research UK, an event beautifully styled by fellow blogger and wedding planner/stylist Penelope... We're sharing just two posts today - everyone is settling into holiday period mode, so we're keeping it easy. Our final post for today is one of the most beautiful wedding films I have ever soon. Sent in by French film makers Trianon Wedding Photography and Filmmaking, it features bride France-Laure and her beau Mario who tied the knot 1930s style at the Château de la Thibaudière earlier this year. France-Laure, writer behind French Blog The French Spot looks utterly wonderful in her divine Claire Pettibone gown, and I'm beyond smitten with this film and photographs that capture the essence... Good afternoon lovers, we're one step closer to the weekend, which means a whole lot closer to a day full of chocolate. I am very, very happy about that. Jane and Rob's chic London city wedding took place on 15 June, 2013. I love the city-chic vibe of this wedding - Jane's elegant Jesús Peiró gown lends itself beautifully to the Art Deco backdrop of their wedding venue, The Royal Institute of British Architects. "The RIBA building is very Art Deco, so we used a deco font on our invites to set the tone. The building is quite big and... Continue reading

Brides, are you in the market for purchasing bridesmaids dresses and if so, are you familiar with the quite brilliant Maids to Measure? For those of you not in the know, Maids to Measure is a really cool concept in bridesmaids fashion. The business was founded by Sisters Sinclair (who’s previous job was as legal council for QVC) and India Sellers, in an attempt to offer brides a more experiential service and memorable occasion when it comes to choosing bridesmaids dresses. You can read more about the company and what they do here as we interviewed them on Love My... Continue reading

I love to feature a variety of weddings on Love My Dress, but the one constant each wedding shares is that they are always glamorous. What defines glamour? Effortless elegance, romance and allure, that magical ingredient that draws you in and makes something compelling - images you can't take your eyes off because they are enchanting. This wedding, my friends, is glamour personified. Photography Copyright (c) 2014, Chris Spira Fashion designer Anna married Art Dealer Ralph on 10th August last year at Vaucelleshof in Damme, Belgium - a place the couple both used to visit as children and whose landscape,... Will, a Gymnastics Coach and Primary School Teacher, and Jenni, a TV Producer, chose to tie the knot at Silverholme House in the Lake District on 2nd November this year - the day that marked 10 years since their first date. Their wedding has a really charming laid back and relaxed family vibe about it. I also really adore Jenni's backless silk and lace wedding gown. “As I was planning our wedding, I fell in love with different types of blush materials so the invites and flowers started to take on a more vintage blush tone and the look and... Morning all, yet another beautiful day! This is such a sweet little wedding; I love the chintzy appeal and the lovely lace Charlotte Balbier dress that bride Claire wears. English Teacher Claire and her husband Rob’s wedding took place on 30th October last year with a ceremony at St Peter’s Church, followed by a reception at Woodhill Hall, both in Otterburn, Northumberland. “The day was a mixture of lots of different things we liked, but didn’t have one set singular theme. As it was Autumn time we picked a mauvey purple to use for bridesmaids dresses, and this was reflected... Continue reading

Good afternoon everyone. I've a lovely winter wedding to share with you right now - a celebration of love I'd describe as 'effortlessly elegant', and indeed glamorous. I'm also delighted to have discovered a new bridal wear designer through preparing this post - Kobus Dippenaar - a name to watch out for. Gillian and Jeremy tied the knot on 2nd November last year with a ceremony at St. Salvator’s Chapel, followed by a reception at Kinkell Byre, both in St. Andrews, Scotland. “Throughout our engagement we were living in Tunisia and as much as we loved the sunshine, we both... Just over a week ago, I managed to throw myself down a flight of stairs and break my toe. It's been painful, but not as agonising as having to write about beautiful shoes when all I can hope to wear in the coming weeks is trainers. As torturous as it may be, I'm thrilled to share these irresistible designs from Benjamin Adams with you today. I plan to live vicariously through your shoe purchases. Adam Benjamin, the creative director of the brand, was born into a family of footwear manufacturers. Whilst working within his father’s factory, he realised how uninspiring... Continue reading

Good morning everyone, really hoping you're blessed with the same glorious sunshine as I am this fine Tuesday morning. This is such a lovely wedding, proof once again that rain on your wedding day doesn't matter one jot. Matt and Charlotte, who both run an events management company called ‘Steel City Promotions’ tied the knot on 3rd October last year at The Treehouse Restaurant in Alnwick, Northumberland. “We really just wanted a place to marry that didn’t feel like work, where we could relax, chill and spend some time with our friends and family. Somewhere that we could add our... Continue reading

Whilst sat slurping my Pret green juice last Monday evening at Kings Cross station, I came upon an interesting piece in a trade magazine written by the owner of a popular bridal boutique about how she will be introducing a fee to brides who wish to book an appointment at her store. I also read this piece by Emma Meek of Miss Bush Bridal in Surrey with interest recently. The feature talks openly about how owner Emma will be introducing fees for Saturday** bookings, and why. When I was planning my wedding the thought of having to pay for an... Continue reading

Good morning all, I so hope you've had a restful weekend and are all geared up to take on whatever life has to throw at you this week. This lovely winter wedding should help assist you on your way and certainly put a smile on the faces of those of you who have arrived at this page this morning seeking lovely wedding inspiration. University Lecturer Anna tied the knot with carpenter James on 22nd December last year at Norwood Park in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. "Our inspiration just came from our love of all things old, vintage and retro. People kept asking... Continue reading

It's an exciting time in bridal fashion land, and I'm in my element. As flocks of bridal boutique owners descended upon Chelsea last weekend to attend the White Gallery (brides, that's one of the UK's main bridal wear trade fairs - that boutique owners visit to order new designs for their wedding dress boutiques), I was in attendance feeling a little woozy and under the weather, but eager to discover a world of exciting new designs. I'm going to keep this written report fairly brief - as the pictures by our wonderful photography partner, Naomi Kenton do the talking. It's... Continue reading
