Designer of patterns and books for the patchwork and quilting industry.
Interests: cycling, my hobbies include collecting fabric, threads and other stuff related to my passion....sewing. i love my family, walking and reading, walking our beloved dog hugo and playing with our three very helpful cats (helpful because they snuggle up to the computer to keep it warm and whenever possible leave hairs all over my sewing!)

Hi Emma, You can only leave the hexagon papers in if they are the water soluble variety, if they are the traditional paper then they do need to be removed before they are appliqued onto the background. Please see my tutorial for more info http://lynetteandersondesigns.typepad.com/lynette_anderson_designs/2013/05/hexagon-tutorial.html Hope this helps Lynette
