The grass chair sounds great! I can't wait to see pictures :)
Isn't it crazy how fast the term went by?
I can't believe that we only have one more week of lectures!
School's Seen Me:
A public art project I did last week. - Fend off moss-throwing crows (I put the above work down to photograph it and was greeted by a crow, trying to shoo me away so he could check it out) - Steal gravel from a construction sight as the sun goes down - Install and photograph an art piece in pu...
That's exactly how I feel about many blogs lately. I was really sad to see how one of my favorite blogs turned into a 'enter this giveaway', 'look at my friend's blog' and 'sponsor posts' blog instead of her inspiring, personal posts that used to make up 90% of her blog. Nowadays it's only 10% :(
I understand that there are many 'starving artists' out there who are all trying to make money through there blog which is fine for me as long as they still share personal posts regularly. It would be great if people invested more time connecting with (and listening to) their readers.
Ho-Hum (On Blogging).
Let's get real for a second, shall we? I'm feeling kind of ho-hum, lately - about blogging. photo source. Well, okay - I take that back. I'm sure it's just a phase, cuz I love blogs of all sorts and blogging here. I always have. :) Possibly, it's because I've been crazy busy with work + school...

New! Jean Bags! :: Etsy
You may have noticed some new tote bags in the shop! These are pretty special because they are built to last! Mum and I had a lot of fun designing these, because they are totally one-of-a-kind and full of little unique differences. Like some have built in pockets, or added pockets. Some still ...
i don't have any fabric (just clothes... hmmm) here :(
I might make another hand stitched card though...
DIY Hand Stitching, part 2
Last week, I started a DIY Hand Stitching series and began with how to hand stitch your own handwriting. I stitched onto paper and showed a method for transferring the pattern by poking or drawing dots as a guide on the surface. The same technique can be used when stitching a simple pattern on...

I love Dead Like Me! I watched the two seasons within two weeks lol. So addictive! Too bad there are only two seasons :(
Dead Like Me + Scrapbooking.
I started watching Dead Like Me the other day, and I *heart* George. She kinda makes me wish my name was George. lol. I almost died laughing when her boss pulls her into the scrapbook circle and we get to see her 'imaginary scrapbook'. Hopefully you find it a bit funny, too? I have a few other ...
oh my, this post reminded me that's it almost november - and from november on time runs super fast! And I should work on my autumn mini...
May I ask why there are two different rubber stamps? does it mean we'll get to chose between two covers? :)
guess what i'm working on?
So cute! Can't wait for more tutorials!
I made a quick card during my break using your tutorials. I posted it on my blog:

thanks for sharing
DIY Hand Stitching, part 1
One of my favorite crafts is hand stitching-- it's fun, addictive, expressive and relaxing :) Over the next few weeks, I'm going to share easy ways to make your own patterns for hand stitching along with some tips and ideas :) These are some samples of my past projects-- I like to draw patte...
Hand Stitching: Card
LA just posted a cute hand stitching tutorial and I decided to make a quick card using my own handwriting :) I have to admit that this was pretty much the first hand stitching project I did in... years? I can't remember the last time I hand stitched but it's... Continue reading

I love your thrift store challenge! You should definitely make a regular feature out of it :)
Oh and the thrift store you went to seems to be great - I went to one last week and they wanted $15 for a skirt !?!
I miss 'cheap' thrift stores ;)
Thrift Store Challenge | Part Two
We had so much fun doing the thrift store challenge, I'm already planning on heading out again with some other friends to see how well they score at the store. Here's the last round from the first challenge, Allie's winning first place again (in my mind), with mine being a look I was consideri...
Residence
The residence I live in is mainly for first year students and exchange students. A major disadvantage is that there aren't kitchens, so there's a mandatory meal plan. And dining hall food is nothing you wanna eat for eight months in a row. Also, many students in my res are... Continue reading

autumn minibook: first pages
After the 30 Days of Lists project I really missed journaling regularly. I was really happy when my autumn 2011 minibook arrived so I had an excuse to have a messy desk and lots of papers, washi tape rolls and glitter spread all over my room :) Here are all... Continue reading

Apple Festival
Today I went to the annual Apple Festival at the UBC Botanical Gardens. We had so much fun seeing all the different variations of apples grown in BC, taking pictures at the 'pumpkin patch', eating delicious apple pie, drinking apple cider and wandering around, looking at stalls. I found this... Continue reading

I love the first one! One day I'll knit socks with the same pattern :D
A few favourite sold Swatches. :: Renegade/Shop/Knitting
Whenever you sell an original piece of work there is a small sense of loss but also a big sense of excitement, knowing that your piece is going off to live somewhere new and to be enjoyed by more people. Here are three of my favourite swatches that sold last weekend. You can buy your own orig...
It's a good day
Today was a good day. It started very early with an early morning yoga class and afterwards a delicious (and rather healthy) breakfast at my favorite Starbucks store. It's been bright and sunny all day so I took a walk, collected leaves to dry and snapped some dreamy fall photos.... Continue reading

They look yummy! Wish I had a kitchen here...
Btw, my fall minibook arrived today! yaay. I'm super excited to get started :)
40 loaves / soft pretzel tots.
Bread no. 26 : soft pretzel tots. Adjustments : cut this recipe in half. True, I have the parents to share with, but it's becoming carb-central around here. Substituted 3/4 C whole wheat flour for white. Went a bit overboard on the salt. Notes : since my 40 loaves deadline is looming, I...
haha sewing is definitely faster! too bad I don't have a sewing machine here. Guess I have to stick to knitting. Btw, I saw a great double face knitted scarf on ravelry but I think I would go nuts with several threads (and it would take me years to finish it...)
thanks for the sweet comments

Haha I went running yesterday morning with a friend and we had the stupid idea of going down there and up again as a workout - baaad idea. Way worse than 30 minutes of running :D And I agree, seeing a bunch of old men naked isn't what I wanna see when I go to the beach - unfortunately many Canadians don't seem to mind the cold because there were still a couple of people who took their clothes off - although it's FREEZING cold! Well, by November even the people who still wear shorts and flip flops should realize that it's winter and too cold to take off your clothes :D
Wreck Beach
My friend Katja and I went to Wreck Beach to capture the sunset. We've been planning to go there for quite a while but today was the first day that wasn't cloudy. We grabbed our cameras and headed down there. It's really nice to have a beach on campus that's only a ten minute walk away. Unfo...
Wow you are really busy - now I feel bad that I complained about having three midterms within one week. Compared to your schedule I feel like I'm on vacation, although all the tons of readings for school really stress me out! I hope you'll find some time to craft and relax. Good luck staying on top of things
Picking Up.
off to school - bike + backpack in tow, today. Oh my word, guys - it's busy around here, but I'm starting to come to terms with it, though - which may or may not be a good sign? lol. I have midterms next week, already (Agh! Fortunately, only one of my two academic classes is giving us a test - ...
I wanna see pictures as soon as you finished it! :)
Christmas Gift Inspiration
One of the many reasons why I love fall is that I love looking for cute Christmas gift ideas and when is a better time to start planning christmas gifts than in fall, when the days get shorter and you spend more evenings with a cup of hot tea on your couch chair? One of my favorite resources for...
