And after New York signs two more DP's they'll be sending some of those young guns to other teams where they get the playing time they need to really improve.

I heard the club president of Houston Dynamo wrote a letter saying he is actually too hurt to play.

WOW. Findley doesn't even start for his MLS team! Of course Gomez can't play a full game either, and Guzan is a super backup to a super starter in Goal but still. I think this is the day American fans wake up and realize how dire our situation really is. Three and out would hurt a LOT of fans who have unrealistic expectations (I swear I'm smacking the next friend of mine who predicts the US to win over England 2-0).

Tiny little aligator arms, if Schmidt is to be believed. Wonder how Ianni feels about that?

Right... the league wouldn't have survived had it not been for Seattle. That's why Portland and Vancouver were already scheduled to come into the league and Montreal was knocking on the door before you kicked your first kick. Grow up Seattle fans, the MLS was around before you and it'll still be around once your crowds start dwindling.

It's hard to believe they found something that makes the Rave Green look (and sound) less appauling. I guess the sophomore slump has hit Seattle. Any word if the plastic pitch has some blame in the Hurtado injury?

It should have been Bradley kicking the machine late to pick up a red.

Sadly, they were confiscated by the Arizona border police.

Landon was fantastic in that Mexican Lottery commercial. Now THAT was a commercial!

To be fair, that's probably all ESPN knows about soccer. It wasn't a good commercial and it certainly won't make anyone want to watch soccer. At least Jozy's commercial let the non-soccer crowd be introduced to one of our young stars.

Rogers seems like a selfish player. Maybe he's just trying too hard to make the team, but his last three performances haven't led to me thinking anything else about him.
Did Gooch's positioning look poor BEFORE he got hurt last summer to start with? That's what I thought but it's been a LONG time so I don't really remember. Maybe I was confusing his horrible form for AC Milan (which could have been nerves) for his national team form.
I know. When I turned the game on I was like, "What jersey is that? We have an all-white third jersey?" I can't believe I'm wishing for the old "Polo with small pink stripes" look to come back, but I am.
Thank you. I just wish I'd made the prediction in the other thread. Someone there said 3-1 and was brutally ripped. I wonder what that guy is thinking today!
My prediction: Czech 3, USA 1. Nobody up front can hold the ball up and nobody can create anything on their own. Our Forward pool will looke even more thin tommorow then it does today.
Thank God Canada has DeGuzman to shut down that midfield, right? Right?
Gotta pay off Wembley.
Bornstein is going to play the entire game on Marshall's shoulders. They will be wearing a trench coat to hide that they are in fact, two different players so we can have 12 on the field at once.
Off the northwest coast of Africa. Not too far from the Isle of Lesbos (insert joke here). I think there's a lot of Portugal roots there.
Right... they're just waiting for the right moment. Any decade now... Unless some faction of their military goes rogue there's no way the people will overcome that. When one side has all the weapons the other side is pretty screwed.
So, Behrain who lost the play-in match with New Zealand?
IVES-- if North Korea and South Korea go to war in the next few weeks, what impact would that have on the World Cup? Increased security around those teams maybe? Any chance North Korea would pull out? (I bet the Irish are hoping for that).
I hope it turns out better then when Viv Wright managed Harchester United!
I think he's pretty solid. Doesn't have Charlie's speed so he has to depend a lot more on what others do to set him up, but man when he's on, he's on. He was awesome in Nashville against Trinidad that night thanks to Donovan's set-ups.
