Thank you for sharing! Glad you liked the idea!
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this on your blog! I am honored to be on your blog! Thanks for the inspiration and wonderful books! We have done this experiment trick a few more is addicting! I know! I wish I had some grandkids so I could wow them. :) Meanwhile, I'll delight my husband with this crazy surprise.
This technique is wonderful! I never realized that there was an artist associated with it! Thanks for the inspiration! We've done it before, but need to do it again soon! Melissa @ From MaryAnn: Hi, Melissa. I should clarify that R. Diebenkorn didn't do his art this way, but this technique produces geometric blurred soft images similar to his paintings, so... kids love it! Some teachers precut the tissue, and others let the kids tear and cut as they wish. Both ways are impressive and the kids learn a lot from the process.
I would love to win Art With Anything! My favorite childhood art memory was always creating construction paper window designs for each holiday with my Mom. The window was a huge picture window so it was perfect for this! My Mom always had construction paper scissors and glue and those three items have always been my favorite art materials. As an elementary art teacher, I always had my students do plenty of projects with these materials! I remember getting my first set of markers too and how much I loved them!
