I'm happy to see Cherie getting such great press and having such success! She's an awesome gal :) I can't wait to read Boneshaker.

" small it was a real possibility that a goalie could score a goal for his team..." One of the best moments of being a Sharks fan was when Evgeni Nabakov scored an empty-net goal against the Canucks. He was the first NHL goalie to score a power play goal. Hockey is the only sport I've ever really gotten into, and it didn't happen until I moved to California.

That's a wonderful post, I got a little misty-eyed. My daughter is just 5.5 months, and I spend every day amazed and grateful that I'm getting to share her life, and I am excited to see what kind of woman she becomes. I hope I am as successful in my raising of her, as you have been with your children. This is the hardest, and most rewarding job I've ever had. And yeah, my mom, sister and I watched Star Trek and TNG as a family and I fully intend to share those shows (and many others) with Amailah as she grows.

One of the reasons I enjoy reading what you have to say is because you are just a person talking about his life and interests. We happen to have some of those interests in common, as well as a friend or two, and I enjoy the way you write. I think the internets is pretty cool for giving me the opportunity to connect with distant people with whom I share these interests and humor. Thanks for being a part of it all.

Wow, how many different kinds of cool are going on there? I would have killed for that jacket, not to mention the Hard Rock Cafe button, the Swatch watch, or the Batman and Star Trek insignias. Geeks represent. :)

I've been enjoying reading your posts about D&D lately, especially since we've just introduced my husband's eldest daughter to the game and she is chomping at the bit to continue the campaign. It's a lot of fun to be sharing something with her that we have had so much fun with, even though it makes me feel a little old to realize she wasn't born when the red books came out!
