Here, here. You have it, there is nothing to add but my heartfelt support.
The Weight of Our Words
As most of us have been, I've become engrossed with watching the news channels, waiting to hear if there have been any developments in the Gabrielle Giffords case. I wait to hear if she's out of her medically induced coma yet. I wait, hoping no one else has died. But I also wait in vain, hoping ...
I would __love__ to get one of these, particularly as you only shipped to the US and Canada before, so if the dice pick me, let me say up front that I will (of course) pay whatever extra postage you deem necessary (within reason ;-) ), and well *fingers crossed*!
a very limited (I mean VERY limited) autographed book lottery
Yesterday, I said: I found nine hardback copies of The Happiest Days of Our Lives that I must have put there when they first arrived at my house a couple of years ago. They look as perfect as they did the day they were taken out of the box. So I have this idea to sell them, that goes like this:...
Yes, yes and thrice YES! Please do it; I'd love some more of your fiction, and being over here in the UK I can't very easily make it to the conventions where you sell the Chapbooks :-)
anyone interested in a short fiction collection?
I have a question for everyone who reads my blog: if I put some short stories I'd written together into a little collection and sold it at Lulu, would you be interested? I ask this because I collected a few short stories into a limited edition chapbook for last year's PAX Prime, and it's been si...

Neither First nor Great, Western
Yet again I am trapped on a sodding expensive train that has nowhere for me to sit, and has spent mote than half the journey to London on the speed-limited relief line due to Network Rail's complete lack of anything remotely approaching gumption. What the fuck am I paying for here? Certainly not service, that much is clear. I am going to be late fir work, once again, and yet again it is NOT my fault... "Oh you should get up earlier, to allow for transport problems" - yeah I can hear you *frown* NO, for £400 a month I... Continue reading

Exciting News!
Well hello there, dear reader... I have some pretty exciting news - I've been invited to contribute some work to an exhibition being curated by and "starring" the work of Scott Church, over in Pennsylavania... Here is the flyer - if you are in any way able to attend I know you'd be welcome: You can see the images that I am contributing to the show here: My Submission I warn you now, none of the images are really Safe For Work, but neither are any of them involving anything more than 'tasteful nudity', at least in my opinion... Please... Continue reading

WIRED Review: "Sunken Treasure is full of gems"
Sunken Treasure got a really nice review from Geekdad: Wil Wheaton came up with just the right word to describe his new book, Sunken Treasure. The subtitle is Wil Wheaton's Hot Cocoa Box Sampler, and sampler is an excellent metaphor for what this small, sumptuous snack represents. This is a var...
Hey there Wil,
I have blogged my thoughts here:
http://www.techno-mage.co.uk/blog/2009/02/19/book-review-sunken-treasure-by-wil-wheaton/
and copied that to the Lulu page for the World Edition.
Thanks so much for "Sunken Treasure" - it made my week, well your book + Elizabeth Gilbert at TED made my week, but you gotta like being in that company ;-)

All ordered! Really looking forward to this coming through my door.
Good luck, hope you make many many sales, mon ami :-)

sunken treasure goes on sale
As promised, Sunken Treasure is now officially on sale! I have created two editions, a US Edition and a World Edition. They are identical in content, but the World Edition is in a slightly larger format, so it's $2.00 more. The trade off is that you don't have to spend a million dollars on shi...
So cool! Thanks for sorting this out; I'm looking forward to being able to order this... Bravo, mon ami :-)
sunken treasure gets additional material and goes unlimited
Every year, before the summer convention season gets underway, I pull some excerpts from whatever I plan to release in the fall, take them to my local print shop, and make a deliberately lo-fi, limited edition chapbook to take with me on the obligatory summer convention circuit. I’ve done previe...
Why is it that I get NSFW, but whenever I see 'SFW' the very first thing that goes through my mind is "SO FUCKING WHAT?" (from movie called SFW starring Brad Dourff and Reese Witherspoon). Am I that in love with cursing..? Help me Wil... ;-)
part two of my interview with comicmix
The second part of my interview with Comicmix is online, wherein I say things like: I was one of the earliest Mac adopters. I had a Mac 128K in the first few months of its release. [. . .] I loved that computer. It was portable, which is funny to say now, because it only weighed like, 20-30 pou...
Hey there Wil,
I totally dig where you are going with this, and I think you are definitely doing the right thing - I for one count myself as a 'core fan' of your output, and have every intention of buying your next book (I'm loving reading "The Happiest Days of our Lives" and am Shill'ing for it on my blogs - http://maleghast.vox.com and http://maleghast.livejournal.com ).
Moreover, I am hoping that I might be able to do the same with photography, so I hope to see what you achieve and will be following your success and problems with a keen interest. I wish you the very best of luck mon ami, and whatever happens, keep writing :-)
All the best,
Oliver
in which i have a new challenge, and a new goal
I worry a lot. It's in my nature, and my doctors tell me that if I can't stop worrying so much, I'll have hypertension and high blood pressure. In fact, I'm already on my way there, and it's one of the main reasons I felt so lousy while I tried to recover from sinus surgery. More than anything e...
Please do offer shirts - I've been reading your blog and your books for years now, and I'd love to trumpet my fandom from the rooftops; well from my chest and / or back :-)
FWIW, I would agree with everyone else who said it: just say "no" to cafépress.
Other than that, go for it. As long as there are options for shipping to the UK I will be buying.
Is anyone interested in WWdN merchandise?
Before I put in the time and effort to make some new WWdN merchandise for the WWdN CafePress store, I'm looking for a show of hands: is anyone interested in some WWdN gear, like T-shirts and stuff? I don't have the time or desire to run a store myself, or take the risk of buying a lot of stock a...
