Safe computing is a way of using a computer that probably will not subject the computer user to loss of data, unexpected loss of privacy or loss of the computer for its intended use for too long or at too great of a monetary expense. There are degrees of Safe computing made by tradeoffs between a computer's convenience or usefulness and the data loss risk, privacy and ease of... Continue reading

Find a good location. It's o.k. if people walk under the speakers, but don't mount them above where people normally stand or sit: Here are the speakers and the necessary supplies. I don't recommend speakers that are larger than these (19 in. x 13 in. x 10.5 in.), because no door will open underneath them. The cargo nets are Bell model 33653-8 45 in. x 24 in. The Swivel Hangers are Cobra model 59908 White, and the rope is Nite Ize Innovation 550 Paracord 50 ft. 1/4 inch black: Cut out the bungie cord that comes with the cargo net... Continue reading

Here is a homemade LED bicycle light that is also high-performance. It is a modified mini maglite led 2-cell AA that has twice the brightness of the normal maglite, and a rechargeable battery that maintains full power for hours. The battery is no longer inside the maglite. The battery is now in the bicycle's water bottle and a LED light engine is inside the maglite in place of the batteries. The weather-proofing, optics, and thermal design are similar to the original maglite, and it uses the 1A (Amp) Lumileds Luxeon III LED from the stock maglite. Here is a picture... Continue reading
