Yay!! Loading up on the coffee & hot chocolate! My only concern is that it is often just rain by the time it gets to Lebanon. I'm liking that rain/snow line a little further South.

here is the VIDEO blog for today. www.facebook.com/wave3weather Risks today: 1) Monday night (twix scale 0-10) We have been discussing this system since November 17th. Now we have it close in range---and boy we have had fun tracking this with the model swings haven't we? :) So how does it lo...
John,
Thank you so much for the explanation. I love when you do the "weather lessons" for us in simple terms that make it easy enough to understand. I am so glad you have kept up with the blog! Bless you and your family (for allowing you to still take time for us) and may you have an enjoyable summer!

...Thanks Carrie....JB
Dew point comfort index
The dew point is an easy way to tell how comfortable the weather is outside. Currently, the dew points are low for this time of year. The current dew point is 53 up from 48 earlier. In the summertime, the comfort index according to the dew point goes like this..... Dew points in the 40s...VERY...

Thanks to the WAVE 3 Weather Team for keeping us updated during this crazy Kentucky weather!

Amazing how articulate and descriptive this young person is. Thank you for sharing and please pass along our thanks to the author as well as our heartfelt gladness that the family is together and ok. Our thoughts and prayers are still with the families that suffered injuries and loss during the storms.
Eyewitness account of the tornado at Henryville HS
The following account was written by a Henryville High School student who was at the school when the tornado hit on March 2. This was written about 5 hours after the storm. It really is hard to imagine going through something like this. I did leave the names out for privacy reasons. We often hea...
After our strange non-winter maybe we will get snow for the 4th of July! Already watching for one of the winter forecasts that will be out mid-September. The bad part is we got the pool open and then it will be too cool to get in...no heater. Oh well...that's Kentucky weather!
Don't forget to remember our fallen service men and women this weekend and if you see a member of our armed services take a moment to thank them for their service and sacrifice.
Wacky Forecast Ahead...
The heat continues on this Saturday. Nothing really has changed with previous thinking on high temps. 94° Today 96° Sunday 92° Monday One of the factors in figuring out our highs this weekend has been the soil moisture. The deeper/more recent moisture leads to higher humidity in the air---a...
