I immediately went and downloaded @cthulhuchick's book. Good to have, fight the pirates. Also, for that full Allman experience, you might want to check out http://www.kitchenerbluesfestival.com/
i've got one more silver dollar
I'm taking a break from my online traffic school (shorter traffic school: Don't be a dick, and slow the fuck down). I got a ticket recently when I misunderstood some confusing lane lines in Burbank. I thought they were telling me I could turn right from the two right-most lanes, but the friendly...
Sorry, Wil, but Men Without Hats were from Montreal, so the Brit accent does not apply. Snotty attitude, yes, Brit accent, no.
From the Vault: the safety dance
Last night, Nolan went through my iTunes library so he could put some of my awesome music on his iPod. He's been after me for months to give him Radiohead, The Beatles, Tool, Decemberists, and a lot of my 80s stuff. While he looked, the following exchange occurred: Nolan: Why do you have The Sa...
Speaking of disappointment, you should try being a Leafs fan. We actually celebrated the 40th anniversary of NOT winning the Cup.
the LA daily: why i love the los angeles kings
Sunday morning, Nolan and I watched the Penguins play the Capitals in the NHL's game of the week on NBC. It was considerably more exciting than the previous week's contest between alleged rivals the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers, where someone forgot to tell the Rangers to show up and...
At least she got to be part of yet another "generation" of Trek by doing the computer voice for Abrams upcoming epic. She was in the news quite a bit when they were making "Earth:Final Conflict" here in Toronto. Quite an amazing woman.
a moment of silence, please.
Majel Barrett Roddenberry died yesterday. She was a hell of a lady, who loved Star Trek and Star Trek fans like no other. Some knew her as the original Number One, some knew her as Lwaxana Troi, and everyone knew her as the ship's computer, but I just knew her as Majel, my friend Rod's mom, who ...
Sorry, Wil, but according to Wikipedia (it's gotta be true!), there is no "Jeeze". I think you meant "Jeez", which is a Minced Oath, a shortening of an epithet.
What? Smart-ass? Me?
happiest days of our lives only available from me until friday december 5
Holy shit, it's already December 2nd! How did that happen? (I know, Earth rotates, time marches on, etc. It was a rhetorical question. Jeeze.) Why do you care? Well, most of you reading this probably don't, but if you want to get a copy of The Happiest Days of Our Lives from Monolith Press, and ...

strangely enough, this episode aired two days ago in Canada. Thoroughly enjoyed it, although I did wonder why it took half the episode before you appeared, Wil. worth the wait. well done!
Criminal Minds: The Audition
This is the first of five posts about working on episode four, Paradise, during season four of Criminal Minds. I spoke with CliqueClack.com about some of my production experiences, and I have a gallery of images from the shoot at Flickr. Please note that I've done my best to recreate my interact...
I'm really dating myself here, but I saw that flick IN THE THEATER when it came out.
Am I officially too old to hang out here?
happy october
Matt Fraction asks: How soon is too soon for Mad Monster Party? There is no such thing as too soon for Mad Monster Party?, Matt. BEHOLD!
Ok, Wil, you gotta stop doing this shit to me. I mean, really, between the books you keep mentioning, and now Gumby starring in a William S. Burroughs production, I'm getting NONE of my own work done. Stop it. I mean it.
;0)
squawking like a pink monkey bird
After the great post-eating disaster of 2008, I've elected to experiment with offline composition tools until I get distracted by shiny objects or I find one that I really like. My two candidates are Ecto and MarsEdit. I actually used Ecto quite a lot until I upgraded to Leopard and it expressed...
Ok, I'm not a union guy. I feel that MOST of the unions out there have outive their usefulness. HOWEVER, given that Hollywood is probably one of the last bastions of "coal mine mentality", I fully support the WGA (from a safe distance North of the Border). While I respect what the actors, directors and crew bring to film and television, I have little respect for the money-gobbiing machine of the Hollywood studios. Hell, if Walt Disney has a blog, I sure as hell haven't seen it!
Can media conglomerates afford to pay the writers?
As someone who hopes to be in the WGA one day, and as a current SAG member (and former member of the Board of Directors) I am in complete and total solidarity with the Writer's Guild. It's quite heartening to me, also, to see that so many people refuse to be fooled by the lies that the six comp...
