I get those mixed up even though I spent nearly all my teen years writing a would-be Asimovian novel about Sirius. I think because we now know it's a binary star, and it's the bright one - hence, Canis MAJOR! Man I miss that cheesy sequel attempt. And still gawk at the stars. Thanks for your shared experience.
