I'm totally sympathetic to Crawford. As fans, even we hated the Red Sox while he was there, and while his performance was part of that, it was the entire assembly, which could easily be characterized as "toxic."
I'm not sure you're using the term "revisionist history" correctly here. A revisionist it flipping an understanding of history contrary to what had previously been understood. As you pointed out, there is nothing new about Henry and Co. not caring about baseball, and it's obvious that the "sexy" comment is accurate.
I don't mean to be a naysayer, but in what world does resigning Cody Ross put the Red Sox in a position where they "could be positioned to compete in the AL East in 2013 and beyond." This team has a seriously weak roster and everyone else (except the Yankees) is staying the same or getting better. The Sox have done virtually nothing to improve this off-season. I just don't see them being in contention in 2013.
Good piece. It's nice to see someone writing a sympathetic piece on Crawford. He seems like a good dude, and while he's certainly hit a rough patch in his career, there's hope for him yet.
I grew up a Knicks fan, and I still have a soft spot for them, but I hate Melo. While I also don't think much of D'Antoni, I hope the Knicks keep him just long enough for Melo to force a trade.

Why not have Ortiz play outfield. JOKES AND JOKES!
If it works, it works. This is like earlier in the season with zone defense.

Knicks fans should be pretty pissed about this one. That offensive on Melo was pretty questionable. That said, a win's a win.
