The voice recognition built into the Android operating system does a very good job, and actually has a purpose - it allows you to configure destinations for Sat. Nav., and search the web without having the fiddle around with a tiny soft keyboard. It would be interesting to know whether this tech. achieves better than 80% recognition. I'm pretty sure it exceeds that from my own results (English Home Counties [read 'posh'] accent)
