A friend and I were in a Swatch store a few weeks ago, reliving the 80s. *sigh* Nostalgia mixed with a verbal right hook. You definitely got a keeper!

Apparently, bacon really does make everything better. And by "better," I think I mean even more disturbing.

Aww, I love your armrest! ;) Now add in a beverage of choice, and it goes from a good afternoon to a great afternoon.

*ponders* I could hop on a plane right after class on Thursday, see the show, and maybe even stay with my cousins, who would love the Show of Awesomeness. *checks bank and credit card balances* *sadface* Will still tell the cousins about the show, though. ;) If they can make it, they'll love it.

So sweet, and so hilarious! And may I say, solidarity, brother, I so feel your pain. I teach English, so everyone looks to me to rock the Scrabble, yet I find myself more often than not staring helplessly at the tiles that have landed in my little trough, thinking, is "sclome" a word?

Now the real question is, did someone steal your clothes and/or laundry basket and *really* blast you back to being 20 again? I adore Eureka and am so glad you are going to be on one of my favorite shows, and I'm really glad you're enjoying your time on it. And I'm totally beyond squeeing happy that Felicia Day is going to be on, too. I can't wait for winter and the new season! And BTW, take care of that ankle. I thought Colin was the only one who was allowed to whine about getting hurt on Eureka.

This content-blocking crap is seriously damaging my Zen-like placidity. Amazon ebook-blocked me earlier today! I needed book 9 in a series. Have book 8, have book 10. Book 9? Out of print in the US. Go to Amazon, and they have all sorts of used copies, but the instant gratification girl in me sees they have a Nook version. But not for the US. Seriously? For a BOOK? I was able to work around it, as I have an Amazon UK account (you all can decide if that's cool or way pretentious), but my Kindle for PC is now set at a UK region. Not that it will help me get any other UK content.

I think the default setting for all privacy issues is "Just Friends". The problem is that not all of our FB friends are actual friends whom we want to know where we live, work, go to school, etc. I'm a teacher, and though I don't accept any students as friends on FB (I don't even use my actual last name, as I don't want them to find me), I have colleagues who do accept students as friends. I really don't think that any of them would want students to know where they live. I haven't seen this feature in use, so I am not even sure how it works. But if there is even a chance that someone can locate me through it, I am turning it off.

OMG I am so sad I can't be there. I may have to bug a friend to DM a game in your honor. And I'll send you a picture of our game dice. Maybe you can Photoshop them in. ;)

Given Facebook's issues with privacy, I find it...laughable? ironic? idiotic? that one of the people who is running for attorney general actually uses the fact that he is a top legal counsel for Facebook as a reason we should all believe that he has our privacy and protecting our identity foremost in his mind. I don't say this to start a political war or commentary but perhaps to show how few people "out there" really know what they are getting into when they plug in and log on.
