Ambiguity can be a lovely thing, especially when it's like stumbling upon beautiful labyrinth when you least expect it. With only the faint intuition of what pleasant surprise what might await at the center.... Continue reading

This is another good example of why I love Etsy but my wallet does not. Very rare 'A Hornbook for Witches' vinyl record, stories and poems narrated by Vincent Price. I am a big Vincent Price fan, you know! I haven't listened to this completely yet, I tried to earlier but kept getting interrupted by various distractions. From what I was able to listen to, it's quite interesting and fun! Nice quality too, clear with just a little bit of light popping but no skips, from what I've heard. Which is fine with me, because I actually like light popping... Continue reading

(Photo source unknown) Autumn I miss you...crisp cooler weather, colorful crunchy leaves, pumpkins (everything pumpkin!), all things relating to Halloween/Samhain, apple cider, apple pies, scarves, woolly socks, coats, arm warmers/fingerless gloves, the smell of bonfires and decomposing leaves, that indescribable feeling that fall gives. It's like the perfect mix of magic and mystery in the air, with a hint of loneliness that is more beautiful than somber (if that makes sense). Summer is fun and all but usually after a few weeks I get a bit tired of it and long for Autumn. Continue reading

Remember this post? Not an antique birdcage, just a decorative one, but for only a few dollars I wasn't about to leave it. I found it at an art and craft store tossed with clearance earlier this spring, the perch on the inside was broken and some of the bars were bent, but nothing that could not be easily fixed. I'm still undecided as to how I want to use this, the book storage idea is still being considered. Speaking of finding things, this has been a really good spring/summer for me as far as stumbling upon awesome stuff for... Continue reading

"Some things don't last forever, but some things do. Like a good song, or a good book, or a good memory you can take out and unfold in your darkest times, pressing down on the corners and peering in close, hoping you still recognize the person you see there." — Sarah Dessen One of my favorite songs that I haven't heard in quite awhile, I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon it on YouTube. I use to watch this show all the time as a kid! Full version of the song, here Continue reading

Oh oh oh!! Is this not one of the most adorable work spaces ever?! I love this little sewing shed that belongs to tales of a jUnkaholic! As a kid I always wanted one of these outdoor sheds to fix up and play in and in recent years have always thought it would be nice to have one for crafting and prop building. This is quite similar to what I had in mind, only on a slightly smaller scale and for sewing instead. And just when I thought it looked awesome in the day night it's even better... What... Round two of trying to get back into the habit of blogging again. A very busy spring and beginning of summer has resulted in blog neglecting, as well as little time for painting and creating. Which has been a bit of a bummer since I seemed to be on a roll for awhile there. But it's ok, I'll get back into the swing of things soon enough. I'm also going to start my 365 project over, starting July 1st. I have quite a few missing days due to being away and forgetting to keep a camera on me everyday (my... Continue reading
