I'm pretty happy that back in the day there was nothing like this, because I was one of those programmers who couldn't program. I had to create a multimedia-show with Macromedia Director and about all I knew about Director was how to have a sprite move around the screen (no actual coding here). Luckily my employer was a big organization and practically paid me to learn how to program Lingo. They even got me all the books I needed, for free. If I hadn't had that job I probably would never have become a real programmer.
