Ha! I love it! Registering at Home Depot and Lowe's seems to be a new trend--when you're renovating a new home a table saw might be a lot more useful than crystal champagne flutes!
one of these things is not like the other...
...one of these things just doesn't belong. Did you catch it? Hardware AND bridal gifts? Oh, I am so hip on that action - one-stop shopping! I rec'd a toolbox and loads of tools at my bridal shower; my parents raised do-it-yourselfers not children for heaven's sake. When you're born with a ham...
What a great idea for a regular feature! I agree with Curley Creations--every little bit helps! No effort is too small! Sometimes it's easy to feel guilty that we're not doing enough, but as you said--though it may not be 100% perfect, the attempt is worthy! Glad to see so many independent designers getting on board. Sarah's work is beautiful--love love love those peacock napkins! To pretty to wipe up with!

Hand Painted Jane Wilson Wedding Gown inspires a Custom Invitation Suite
I've got a really exciting and fun project on deck that I'm feeling quite inspired to begin work on. Recently, the bride-to-be's aunt contacted me about creating custom invitations based on the design of her niece's hand-painted Jane Wilson wedding gown. These are my favorite kind of assignm...

Stoppppp it! This is the CUTEST! I'm going to get a head start now for the Christmas season and all the gift-giving we'll be doing! Oh, and good advice on the not swinging it like a lasso bit--I was going to try that, but since you mentioned it, I'll restrain myself!
how to | make a paper winebag
*Tutorial for personal use only. Boxwood design (c) Daisy Janie 2009. Bird motif borrowed from Microsoft clip art. Necessity is the mother of invention, right? This project definitely has roots in that philosophy. When we were invited to a last-minute party in December, I realized I didn't hav...

Thanks for the pick-me-up! Bad funk. Bad one. Won't last though.
When life hands you lemons...
Sometimes you just don't have it in you to make lemonade. Sometimes you might just want to smash the shit out of the lemons until there is nothing left but bitter, bitter pulp. Painted image by Small Impressions.
