My last week at the old job. The pain and self-flagellation from the embarassing thing is fading. Odd dreams are increasing, one every night. I feel unsafe but also that this river is flowing and I just need to ride the current for a while. I can't believe I'm leaving.... Continue reading

Sometimes I wonder why I am blogging. But today it was nice to vent to this blog when I preferred not to talk to someone I know. Thank you, blogosphere. Continue reading

Something horribly, stomach-churningly embarassing happened to me today, and it is my fault. This involves someone else who I am really trying to make a positive first impression with related to my professional life. How does one deal well with such a thing? Huge parts of my psyche are trying... Continue reading

How strange to see 500 pictures that I'm in, one after another. I am so thankful I'm not having some low-self-esteem freak-out after viewing them. I don't look like a model but I look really, really happy. Now I'm really looking forward to making one of those shutterfly books! Or... Continue reading

Today I reflect again on what an unbelieveable waste of time it is to have endometriosis. Time wasted in pain, time wasted with brain all mushy on pain pills, time wasted in candida-related brain fog, time wasted in fatigue-land wishing I felt like going for a cheery jog around the... Since last post, the coffee has taken hold and now I'm a wreck of a different sort. My mind is zooming so fast I can't catch up. It's amazing this feeling is legal. I need to remember to limit caffeine for the rest of the week. Tomorrow's interview could totally... Continue reading

Just reading all of the new year's resolutions people are making on blogs is making me feel like I need a nap. All of that striving! People loooooove lists and goal-setting. Why do I feel suspicious and cynical about all of this bettering of onesself? I have many hopes for... Continue reading

What was the first thing I did after preemtively signing up for the online version of Weight Watchers this afternoon? Ate 3 cookies of course. Come on! I was starving, and how else are the Christmas cookies going to get out of the house? Something awesome: When there's supposed to... Continue reading

Christmas discovery: cutting off ten inches of hair on my head does not automatically take ten pounds off of my ass. I think I like the new hairdo though. Hopefully it will be oh so appropriate in a potential job interview??? I'm trying to be prepared for fate and luck... Continue reading

What if I went BIG? What if I actually prioritized my health, diet and exercise? What if I actually completed all of the things on my To Do list? What if I gave up The Attitude? Or figured out what exactly The Attitude is disguising or protecting against? What if... Continue reading

Getting a major haircut in three days - the traditional Post-Wedding Chop. I hope it's a "look modern and stylish" move and not a "now you're old and fat and married so get middle-aged mom hair" move. My motives are suspicious, as I do want to look more professional in... Continue reading

...through Heifer International for my grandparents. Now I'm trying to make a crafty card to explain to people in their 80s how, while I bought you a goat for Christmas, it's not really for you, it's for a poor family that you'll never meet, but even so, it's really really... Continue reading

Yay, my second commenter! Glad to know I'm not the only one who does that, even though I think it's kind of silly.

Today a coworker said something I didn't understand in response to something I said, and then she and another coworker started laughing pretty hard. I joined in fake-laughing, having absolutely no idea what was funny or if they were making fun of me. They probably weren't, but, really? Is it... Continue reading

Dude, my sinuses are hard rocks of pain that bounce painfully when I walk. The pain is stretching into my upper jawbone, gums, and teeth, so that when the sinuses bounce when I walk, it feels like my teeth are all loose. Soon I will be just gums and holes... Continue reading

Businessman 1, chatting to our table at lunch: "There was a wait to be seated at the restaurant, so they gave us one of those....things." Businessman 2: "A vibrator? You didn't want to say it, did you?" (chuckles around the table) Businessman 3: "Yeah with those, people might never show... Continue reading

I've been sick all week, now I have cramps really bad, I have to go to a fancy lunch meeting today and talk to board members while high on a pain pill/in pain/sick. I'm finally feeling like I could be at the end of this head cold and maybe get... Continue reading

Married life involves a surprising amount of mending. I mean this literally - of New Husband's clothes. I finally sewed up his pants, and then this morning there's a button missing on his nice work shirt. Pre-wedding, I've also done other pants, and a tie. Did I marry into the... Continue reading

Hey, thanks for the thrill of getting my first blog comment! I haven't shown this blog to anyone in my normal life, so it is growing oh so slowly as I build my blog confidence. Endo has a big effect on fertility, but I'm not sure how it impacts labor and delivery. I hope my familiarity with pain will help me! Thanks for the advice on interviewing people - sounds like the best way.

Today there are questions. Will my head cold start to get better tomorrow? Will an organization I care about approve me to be on their board of directors? Will the job opening I care about call me in for an interview, or send me a rejection? Will I tell the... Continue reading
