Try the 'Sociable' plugin. It has all of the social networking icons (including Twitter, FB, Google+ et al) and automatically creates links to them for each page that it is enabled on. Even if you don't use it like that, you can at least use their icon set, which exist in different sizes and styles.
Treat her like a lady, and she'll always bring you home.
In 2001, blogs were very new things. In fact, as much more time was spent arguing talking about what blogs even were, and where they fit into the media landscape than was spent actually, you know, writing in them. In fact, I don't even think the word "blogging" existed back then, and whenever it...
This place sells them too (in the UK), as actual counters (just below the wine bottle tokens and above the goose ones):

Make your own Zombie Dice Brain Counters
One of the most frequently asked questions about Tabletop is: "How do I get those awesome brains you used as counters in Zombie Dice?" They were made by our AMAZING art director and prop master, Nick, (who made the show look incredible, and still came in under his budget) out of some kind of fo...
Send some heat across the pond. Weather is unsightly here in London. I'm talking umbrellas, jeans and long-sleeve shirts.
Hotter than July
I've spent most of today working on my setlist for w00tstock on Thursday, and reviewing all of my notes from Falling Skies, so I am prepared to moderate that panel on Friday. Normally, I take extended breaks on a workday and go for a walk in my neighborhood, sit with an iced tea on the patio and...

Not just board games, I installed Small World for my iPad after watching the first episode. Man I love that game! I want to get the board version as well so that I can have more than 2 players. Then will just need to cajole/berate/blackmail/shame some friends into playing with me...
This is how I know #Tabletop has arrived.
I keep hearing from gameshops that people are coming in and buying the games we play on Tabletop, and from people who tell me that they're using Tabletop to show their non-gaming partners why we love to geek out over games all the time... but someone choosing to use our super lame totally aweso...
Brisbane city is really pretty and lovely to walk around. There is a man-made beach(ette) called Southbank there which is also lovely to walk around.
I remember going to a great place in Fortitude Valley for Dim Sum when I was there. I can't recall the name though.
If you can get out of Brisbane, then I recommend going to Lamington national park. You can even stay there the night, and it's lovely if you enjoy birdwatching.
Alternatively, there is Dreamworld and Seaworld if you like theme parks with vomit-inducing rides.
Try at some stage to meet some Kangaroos. There are places like sanctuaries, where they care for them and they let visitors help feed them.
Hope the weather gets better for you!
Greetings from Australia!
Greetings from Australia! I've been here for something like four days (I say "something like" because the time travel thing that happens when you cross the International Date Line is still confusing me), and I just love it. Anne and I are in Melbourne, which I've found to be an absoulutely wonder...

As for constructive feedback, it adds an extra dimension to your stories when you can actually see you reading them. Perhaps a new way to do Memories of the Futurecast Pt2? A bit shaky picture at times, but surprisingly clear. The audio was quite good as well.
Watch about a stupid live tour of my messy office, and hear me tell you a story.
I made a stupid cellphone video that was actually a live stream tour on my Ustream channel of my messy office. Then I read a short story. Yaaaaay! The stream was broken once when Paul called me (way to steal focus, Paul!), so there are two videos: If you watched it (live or recorded, pleas...
Was pretty cool to actually be sitting here in London in the evening, watching you in LA during the day. AT THE SAME TIME. I now truly believe in time zones in a way that I didn't before. It's like Skyping my mum in Australia except that you're Wil Wheaton as opposed to my mum.
Also, you have a lot of neat stuff.

Yes, I thought the same thing! MOTF2! *salivates wildly*
I'm selling some autographed books next week
Anne and I unloaded a lot of stuff from storage last week, and I discovered that I have a lot of books that probably want to find a new home. So this is just a heads up: next week, I'm going to offer signed copies of the Games Matter chapbook I made for PAX this year (I have about 40 copies) and...

I don't know a great deal about marketing, but sadly, isn't this all free publicity for Brand Link?
Please stand by for a demonstration of relevancy (or: how to utterly fail at Public Relations)
A lot of you know that I absolutely love Jenny Lawson, The Bloggess. I love her so much, I gave her a picture of me collating paper to send to PR idiots who spam her with stupid product pitches. Jenny makes me furiously happy, so when I read on her blog last night that a PR douchebag called her...

I know it's not a video game, but that other game they played in the hologym, with Riker dressed up in red plastic armor, was also quite funny.
I am easily amused
So io9 did this thing called the 10 Suckiest Fake Video Games That People Play In Science Fiction. Spoiler Alert: The Game from, uh, The Game is number one. 1) Suckdisk from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Actually, we don’t remember this game having an actual name on the show, but “suckdisk” f...
What a shame that it takes so few people to cause so much distress. Someone should pitch a TV show where they turn somebody into a celebrity and then film them as they get harassed by fans. Oh wait, there's already a host of these right? Maybe then, just put people like this in a show like that to see how they like it.
There is a real and substantial attraction to celebrity, which we all have to a certain extent and is perfectly understandable and ok (that's what these kinds of conventions are partly for, after all). There seems to be a fine line between this kind of behaviour and the sociopathic treatment that you received though.
Sounds like you handled it well though. Better than I would have I'm sure. I only hope that these people, once recovered from their hysteria, realised the error of their ways and try to be better people. That is my confounded optimism talking though.
if you cut me, i will bleed
Pretty much all of Comicon was awesome. However, there was one thing that was decidedly not awesome, and though I had initially decided not to talk about it in public, it's bothered me since it happened, so I wrote about it on G+ earlier today. I'm cross posting it here, though, because it's imp...

I remember those drives when I lived in Sydney, so much stress and angst. Places like Australia and the U.S. are so spread out that you have little choice but to drive. Now I live in London and haven't driven a car in years! The U.K. has a great train network which means you can pretty much get around to most places without needing a car.
long line of cars
The traffic on the 101 was as horrible as ever. For no apparent reason, every lane of the freeway would speed up to 30 or 40, then come to a complete stop just as quickly. It took me 20 minutes to drive 2 3/4 miles. I thought, "I don't know how people do this every day, twice a day. This is soul...
Apologies in advance for the ST comment, but I imagine the positive stuff is nicer to hear.
I am 36 years now and I have to say that I totally loved Wesley Crusher as a kid watching TNG as well! Am watching the series again now (3rd season so far) and I still do. Am sure it would be a different story nowadays were it running for the first time.
a stupid cellphone video, and other various items
Last night, I made a new stupid cellphone video. Enjoy: Related. This Sunday, I return to LEVERAGE on TNT as the evil computer hacker Cha0s, in the holiday spectacular episode The Ho Ho Ho Job. Immediately after the episode airs, I'll be joining the cast for a live web chat. I'll give lin...
Sounds a lot like a gritty version of desperate housewives. I love this kind of stuff. It's all very dark and talks about the deep, hidden caverns of our psyche... or perhaps I just shouldn't have had that second glass of wine tonight.
Short Fiction: 239 Sycamore St.
While walking through my neighborhood yesterday, I wondered what actually went on behind those manicured lawns and drawn curtains. I wondered how much I really knew my neighbors. This is what my brain spat out: Ian missed living in a city that didn’t keep any secrets from him, where everything ...
Oh man you have some cool stuff!
hey, is there anything good on tv tonight?
Hey, did I mention that I'm on The Big Bang Theory tonight? I didn't? That's weird. I could have sworn that I did. Well, allow me to just put this gentle reminder out there: Evil Wil Wheaton returns in "The 21-Second Excitation" at 8pm on CBS. And now, another hopefully amusing video, to help yo...
