Yes Doug, always good to hear and there is much "hamingja" here
Christian
Our new grandson Christian was born on March 6th, 2013, on my mother's 90th birthday. He is an endless fascination for our older grandchildren. His big brother Victor who will be six in April and his big sister four year old Julie. Needless to say "I am over the moon with happiness".
That, I was told, was purely by accident.

Your achievements today were outstanding...I suppose the toilet was already installed? If I were to make a list it would not be half as interesting or productive. ;)
Blue from cabbage...wow!
taking measure
Today I made leggings and a skirt, cleaned the chicken coop, made apple pie and apple sauce, napped on the front porch couch, pulled a few weeds and knit just a bit. Another journal page. The apple leaf/onion peel bundle. Not to dramatic. I'm going to put it in the indigo vat tomorrow. ...
It is good to hear that you got your Mojo back. Love the photos of you and the photos with fabric on the lines.
a weekend full of cotton dyeing
I'm back from teaching a 3 day-workshop at a friend's studio 400 km north of here. My friend is a felter and natural dyer and wanted to offer more natural dyeing workshops in here studio to diversify her portfolio and asked me at the beginning of the year to teach one. In one of my earlier lives...

basic goodness
"The natural law and order of this world is not "for" or "against". Fundamentally, there is nothing that either threatens us or promotes our point of view. The four seasons occur free from anyone's demand or vote. Hope and fear cannot alter the seasons. There is day and night. There is dar...
What a beautiful space. I got a kick out of the name "Contemporary Folk Art" but it is, isn't it?
I love the houses, reminds me of the book mark, that I made for my Granddaughter back in July.
Contemporary Folk Art Retreat
The Contemporary Folk Art Retreat with Sue Spargo and Tonye Phillips took place at the historic Camp Sherman Community Hall, about 15 minutes from Sisters. It was so beautifully decorated and a really lovely space to do a bit of stitching. Actually, we had three days of stitching and it was...
Was has the right idea. I had the same feeling when I got up this morning. Everyone is complaining about the rain...I always feel more productive when it rains...stems from childhood I think, as it rains a lot in Iceland. However, it feels like we have had more than our share this year.
I love, love, love this cloth and it keeps getting better and better.
day or night
who can tell really? another day of rain and darkness. i slept late because there was no sunrise here. she slept longer than usual along side the dried indigo leaves, some sympathetic hibernation. i am glad i kept going on this one. turning the points inward on the top edge, allowing for...
I also had to sign in...very curious...things are always changing.
I am madly in love with leave prints these days. Your leaf is wonderful...leaf...feather...love it.
elderberry feather
A feather for Jude's Magic Feather Project. It's a print of an elderberry leaf that I doodled on a bit. It's been "aging" for a couple weeks and has now been washed three times and run through the dryer. I'll add stitching as soon as I have thread that is something other than green or red...
