Thanks Suzanne for your comment. It seems like a whole "different strokes" thing -- some people can work in an open environment and actually thrive with the energy surrounding them. While others desperately need solitude. Some can work well sitting, others prefer standing. I believe offering options is the ideal way to get maximum productivity from your team.
