Ha! I was just going to write about taking you, Ginnie! ;-) For me, I have never understood comics. I love Superhero movies, but have never been into comics/graphic novels. But after hearing Matt Fraction talk about them, and what they mean to him and why he does what he does, I'm definitely interested in checking some out. My friend that works at Counter Media (in Portland (y'all should go if you haven't) has put together a list of things for me to try out ;-) I'm so glad that this has been such a great experience for EVERYONE! Like I always say "Blessed are the GEEKS, for we shall RULE THE WORLD!" I'll totally be there for another Wootstock. Next time, the Schnitzer!! ;-) Thank you all!

Dude! W00tstock 2.1 RULED!! I've sent stuff to some of the old Monkeys from the Soapbox so they could feel like they were there too. I loved that there was something for every kind of geek. I've never been a comics kind of girl, but Matt Fraction kind of made me want to start reading. :-) Kinda fell in love with Stepto, honestly, and with Molly Lewis too. I have not laughed that hard for that long in ages. Thank you for a fantastic super long 3 hours ;-)

* When the holidays come around, we invite our friends who don't have family in Los Angeles to our house to be part of our family for the day. We call it Orphan Thanksgiving. Not many of our "urban tribe" have family here, so we all get together at my place. It's what the holiday's all about. Oh and the food...good lord, the food... Hope you had a good one, Wil!

The thing about the opening bit--in the Orientation video they talked about the different types of outposts on the island and one of them was a "utopian society". It seems "The Others" are as much a part of the grand experiment as Desmond was... I personally enjoyed this episode--and after waning interest in the second season, I'm looking forward to what this one has to offer. I just worry about the scheduling. In typical JJ Abrams fashion, it's 6 eps, long break with a different show in its place then the remaining eps. Great way to lose your audience, friends. This kind of thing did WONDERS for "Alias"... *eyeroll* All we need is a couple day/timeslot changes and the show will be over by mid-season 4... *sigh*

I remember when Converse was bought out and had to close their factories in the US. I was working in shoes at the time... It was amazing to actualy compare the shoes and see the differences... Anyway, No Sweat is a great company and make a decent product. There's a shop down the street from me that sells them here in Portland. Good stuff! :)
