I use the plastic bags for cleaning out the cat litter boxes. I cannot live without plastic pages. And yes, I have about dozen books that have been rain-damaged---and I am in Denver, Colorado---and when visiting my sister who lives in your area, I would like a plastic bag to protect my purchases (I imagine that she would like one too).
