One word sums up our whole season: CONSERVATIVE

Beautiful win; still got no love for Henning as many of his play calls were questionable, especially the use of the Wildcat, save that for inside the 10. I must say if felt good to watch my Phins win against the Raiders, Im from the Bay and I had all of my closest friends over (8 people) who are all Raiders fans and I didnt have to say a word, just smiled and there was nothing they could do about it. GO PHINS, #FireDanHenning, TS stop with the fist pumps... you look gay

IDK guys, I think a lot of you are caught up in the drama and not focusing on the bright spots. Last year I had a list of players that all stunk and should be cut... guess what NONE of those players are here anymore. Ginn J. Allen B. Carpenter G. Wilson etc... Not to say I like Crowder but he's better than anyone else on the team at that position, true he does need to be replaced but I say keep him as a backup. As someone else posted we're going to get quite a few injured players back next year including 2 or 3 draft picks from this year that played 4 games or less. With this in mind I say there is not only an issue with the OC but the strength and conditioning coach as well. Some keys to look for this year are: How many more games we'll win. I see 3 win-ables and 1 upset. Sure these are high hopes so Ill take half of that, that makes us 7-9, not great but not so bad either. That would put us in the top 3rd of the draft. Rd. 1 - I'd personally take a RB, Sign Ricky and Ronnie, trade Ronnie (I know alot of you dont like this) for the missing 2nd rounder. Rd. 2 - ILB or OLB, either would be nice but I'd like to see an ILB to take over the starting role from Crowder plus if you look at Misi's stats he's having a hell of a year for a rookie. Rd. 3 - OG, let's be realistic, we need some guards that can both run block and pass block not one or the other Rd. 4 - TE, I like the 2 TE sets and Fasano is a hot/cold player, he has his moments but not enough of them Rd. 5 - KR or another OG, This is a crapshoot/luxury pick, take the best player available or gamble on someone here Rd. 6 - Another luxury pick, I could see LB, G, RB, WR, S, or TE here Rd. 7 - Special teamer, preferable a LB or RB if you didnt pick one or the other in Rd.6 and if you did a CB I realize that we may not have 1 pick in each round but I cant find a list of our available picks. I see a lot of good and a LOT of bad. My recommendations for changes would be: Fire Dan Henning, get rid of the Strength and Conditioning coach, dump the following players: Pennington Ramsey Anderson (WTF is he?) Brown (Trade for a 2 or keep em) Mastrud Shuler Ghiaciuc Kopa Mcquistan Murtha Baker Gaethers Dobbins Moses W. Allen I'd also be curious to know how much input Sparano has on the playcalling, I know he was an O-Line coordinator so I wouldnt image he has too much experience with play calling and relies on his OC to make the right decisions... this can been seen as a flaw and should be evaluated. On the flip side this could be his saving grace and he cannot be held responsible for the idiocracies that have been taking place and his time/game management skills have grown. I like Nolan as the D coordinator, I havent seen much of these 'exotic blitzes' everyone talks about but he definately has changed the D for the better The firing or Bonemengo has been huge and no one has talked about this, since then our ST's has been pretty damn solid We spent last years draft on the D which can only lead me to believe we're going O heavy this year. Nolan has his core and now needs to make it work. I say we get that new O coordinator and get him some supporting cast... /rant

This is more of a move to protect Dan Henning than it is to help the team, sounds like BS to me. Pennington fits Hennings play calling style better. I say fire the OC and let Henne loose, or draft Mike Hartline and trade Henne to the 9ers

And why does it seem that every route run by the WR's leads them to the sidelines... maybe just maybe an in route or a curl behind a crossing route would give one of our WR's a chance to run after the catch... The one catch Bess made along the sidelines would have been a TD for sure if it were closer to the hash marks... Our TE's... wow, they stink as bad as Henning, I'd have to say our #1 draft priority has to be a toss up between RB and TE (only cause I truthfully DO NOT see Ricky or Ronnie coming back and if one does it will Probably be Ricky)

How about how BAD the play calling gets in the RedZone? Who's making these calls, does Sparano take over the play calling duties in the RZ? I cant imgage the personnel changes much and sure at times execution is an issue but the play calling itself changes for sure. The above can actually be said for both sides of the field inside the 20's... 3rd and 11 and you run a power sweep? 3rd and 9 and you run deep xing routes (interception) 3rd and 1 and your running deep outs? 2nd and 1 and you run another sweep? I can sit from home and call 70% of the plays just based on lineup, I'm sure the opposing teams can do a little better - meaning, there is no mystery to our offense. Someone PLEASE take Dan Henning out back and put him out of his misery. Armando's canned response: Dan Henning has forgotten more football then you'll ever know...true but maybe he's forgotten a little bit too much. What happen to Lou? I mean the guy gets stopped ONCE in the last two years and now they feel like they cant go to him? Maybe mix up that FB dive a little bit but dont take him out, make the other teams pay for stackin the box on the dive play with oh I dont know... a screen? A crossing route to one of the TE's? Cmon guys 2 straight weeks of 5fg games... and dont get me started on the Pittsburgh game

LOL @ finfaninsc....so dramatic -------------------------------------- All of you keep saying "POOR DRAFT" Look who is running it for peed sake!!!!!!!! Why should this year be any diffrent than the past two??????? I really liked the S from Texas. I bet trifecta was betting Dan Williams fell to 28. He almost did. Expect another 4-12 to 6-10 season while the hated JETS win the division and maybe superbowl. I hate to say it even think of the damm Jets in Superbowl but they have a much better front office than we do and until that changes more of the same. Maybe in the 3rd we get a DE with a free agent grade who is another tweener who ESPN says can play NT Posted by: finfaninsc

Sorry but the Dolphins and any other NFL team dont HAVE to do anything for their players. JT couldn't wait for 2-3 more days to see if he was going to get offered a contract...too bad for him. Glad he's on the jets, THE ONLY NFL TEAM TO OFFER HIM A CONTRACT. What dont you guys get about that, NO OTHER TEAM IN THE NFL WOULD OFFER HIM ANY TYPE OF CONTRACT....doesnt this tell you anything? Obviously none of the other 31 teams in the NFL saw anything worth 4mil coming from JT this year. I love JT to death but as he said in his conference, this is a business....move on, good luck to JT, F the jets, go Phins

As I said before, PEACE, thanks for the memories. JT's on the wrong side of the hill, the Jets are the second coming of the 2000 redskins. Im glad they are taking all the trash off the market and wasting thier money and picks

To add to my previous post...our issue IS defense.... how many games did we give up 20+ points? Too many times we lost games where we scored 20+ points, the issue is D and I'm glad they have parted ways with the majority of tards that made up our D last year. JT and Porter included

I'm sorry, how many Super Bowl appearances have the jets had in the last 40 years? And lets not forget the Patriots passed on Holmes as well...its not like they couldn't use another WR; I think that in itself says a lot about Holmes. I'm still on board with Parcell's and company and think that they are nailing this teams design as intended. I agree they have made some bad decisions but I also believe that the goods out weigh the bad. The draft is in coming up and I coundn't be any more excited...go PHINS

I'm sorry, I love JT but I like the fact of him taking a roster spot somewhere else. He's old, he's not going to be the difference between a SB team and a non SB team. Any of you that think he makes the jets a SB team are simply mistaken. The jets were walked into the playoffs, lets not forget that mark sanchize threw 20 interceptions, they made it as far as they did with their D and JT probably isnt as good as their worst LB at this point in his career....sad but the truth. Miami is in the third year of a youth movement, they know what theyre doing. If all of the nay-sayers here were running the team we'd be worse off them Oakland

And to boot Bess drops another punt The coaches have absolutely no idea how to close a game
1 reply
The coaches deserve to be taken out back and shot. What kinda of plays were they calling? Let Henne throw the damn ball, enough of these 5 yrd outs Ginna drops another pass that had TD potential and slips outta bounds on another important one that eventually became an incomplete pass I have no idea why the coaches perform the duties they do, wasted time outs, terrible play calling, again with the 'pistol' they are firing blanks and asking Henne to clean up all thier mistakes
