"MR. ROMANCE He is REMORSEFUL, RESPECTFUL and REFOCUSED He is OBEDIENT to the OMNIPOTENT ONE He is MOTIVATED to MEND our MARRIAGE He is AFFECTIONATE, APOLOGETIC and ATTENTIVE He is NICE in a NATURAL, NON-RESISTENT way He is COOPERATIVE, CONSIDERATE, COMMUNICATIVE & seems COMPLETELY COMMITTED to me He is EMOTIONALLY ENGAGED and EAGER to ENCOURAGE me EVERY EVENING (and every day for the rest of our lives)" A poem my husband sent to me this morning, he didn't write it, but it meant a lot that he sent this to me to express his devotion to me and our marriage! I LOVE YOU JONATHAN!!!

what a beautiful song! finally a song with a good twist. Most war songs, add that the loved one dies, when the men come out of the car, and that makes any military wives heart just stop because thats the one fear we ALL have. So to see it was him, sends us all hope <3 Thank you for sharing such a beautiful song!

"Two weeks, thats all it took, Two weeks for me to fall in love with you" 2 years ago, I met the man i now call my husband. Sgt Jonathan Patrick.... We met on Facebook (of all places). To think that it could have never happened, my picture could have never popped up and caught his attention, he could have never emailed me, and we would never have known each other existed. But i thank god everyday that he gave me this wonderful man. We exchanged a few emails, and then numbers. After talking for hours on the phone one night, we decided we wanted to meet. I remember it vividly. Him getting off of his bike, after driving an hour in the cold, just to meet me. He took off his helmet, and started walking toward me. I said "Wow, your a lot taller then i thought you'd be" and he replied "Your more beautiful then i could have imagined" then hugged me. I cooked him dinner, and we stayed up all night talking. "That's what she gets for loving me" by Brooks and Dunn came on the radio, he picked me up, and asked me to dance...and then kissed me. It was seriously like a fairytale. later on in the night, we got into a deep conversation, then he finally told me. He was deploying to Iraq, in a little less then 2 weeks. We spent almost everyday together, until Thursday came, and he was unable too because he had field day. He promised to call me when he was done.. Which he did, we talked for a little while. and I heard a knock at the door, my roommate came out to open it with me, and i kept Jonathan on the phone... low and behold, it was him. =) Usually i hate surprises. But this was one i didn't mind one bit. We laid in bed with my two little doggies around us, and we just talked, and he said "i understand if you can't be there when i leave, but i'm really hoping you'll be here when i get back" I was a little floored, because i had just met him 4 day's ago. It just so happened, my brother in law was deploying the same day and time as Jonathan, so i told him i would do my best to make it there...still unsure if it was a good idea to give my heart to a marine who was leaving to war in a very short period of time. Every night he came down, and we would stay up talking until one of us had to leave for work. I'll never forget the feeling when one night, we were watching TV, and i laid my head on his chest, and thought "I could do this forever" That thought scarred me. I had been in love and married, and it didnt work out, and i didnt want to go through that pain again. Come the day he left, i slept for about an hour. I stayed at my sister's and drove them to base, promising her i'd be back before my brother in law's bus left. I drove about 30 mins away to Jonathan's barracks. I arrived, and he had the biggest smile on his face. but i knew i had to put up a wall, i couldnt allow myself to get upset, or feel anything, because he was leaving. We spend the next hour, cuddling, kissing, just being in each other's company, until i got the call from my sister saying the bus was there, and she needed me. So i had to quickly say my goodbye's, he handed me a envelope with a letter inside, i gave him one last kiss and drove away... knowing he wasn't satisfied with how i left, i couldn't just turn back around. I had no idea what was going to happen, i thought that it was going to be the last time i saw him. I got to my brother in law's barrack's waiting around for the guys to line up, so we could say our goodbyes, I opened the letter, inside was a letter and his dog tags. As he explained in the letter, one he made for me with my religion on it, and the other was taken from the set he was wearing... I read the letter, and was overwhelmed with his emotions and feelings toward me... knowing i did feel the same, but i wouldn't allow myself to show it. about 2 hours later, i received a text from him saying that he really missed me, and that it was the last time i would hear from him for a little while, but he would call as soon as possible. at that moment, i thought this is it. i'm not going to hear from him again. I wake up early the next morning to his call. I was so happy. Months went by and we talked as much as possible, it wasnt until his first mission, where we were out of contact for almost 2 weeks, that i realized i was head over heels in love with him. I received a letter, and a gift in the mail. It was a diamond heart necklace, he asked me to email him when i got it, so i did. and he sent back "now that you have my heart, can i have yours" I said YES! and from then on the day's couldn't pass by quick enough... FINALLY the day came when i got the call saying he was coming home!! we had decided we would move in together when he got home. so i spent the following days preparing for his arrival! The day he came home, i was a nervous wreck. He plane was delayed 6 hours. I changed outfits so many times. Finally i left the house. My sister met me on base with a friend of ours who's husband worked with mine. I remember the buses driving in, and the guys marching up to us. and the entire time i was saying "i'm not ready!! i'm not ready!!" but as soon as i saw him walking toward me, i was calm, i ran and jumped into his arms. NOTHING can describe the way i felt seeing him after all that time, and even though we had only had 2 weeks together before he deployed, it felt like we'd been together forever. Right now my husband is back oversea's and i dont know when he'll be home... he's already been there 8 months, but came home in December for a few weeks. but there is not even an aprox date of when i'll have him back.... It's hard, its not easy. I hurt just like all of us military wives. but i stay strong, and supportive adn understanding, because my husband is worth waiting for. I've never known a strong love like this. but i'm lucky to have this man who loves me as much as he does, who goes far and beyond to contact me, even when he shouldn't just because he doesnt want a day to go by without telling me he loves me... The Marine Corp makes it tough for us, and we have yet to get a break... but with the love and devotion we share, i know we can make it through just about anything This is my Love Story <3 I'm just a country girl, in love with a hero! =)

very beautiful. =) my husband is a marine, and he's currently overseas. This is our second deployment. =( . The one bit of advice i give all my military girls. When they are gone on field op's, boot camp, etc, It's training for us too. It's hard being away from the men we love, but we need to UNDERSTAND AND SUPPORT, because believe me when i say it NEVER get's easier.

My husband a US Marine (Sgt) is currently stationed overseas, this deployment is a lot harder for the fact that usually you know when they are coming home, right now, we have not even an idea of when he may be home, or when we will be able to see each other. He's already been gone 8 months, and came home for a month in December, chances are it may be another 5-7 months before we can be together again. Below are lyrics to a song that i wrote for him while he's been away Waking up is hard without you but your out doing what you have too this life we live aint always easy never knowing whats to come but no matter what i'll always be there your here one day and gone the next everyday i do my best i'm staying strong keep holding on Im scared for you, so proud of you out there fighting for our freedom but I know im in your heart no matter how far waiting beside for your call checking my email I'm doing it all i'm just missing you so very much starring at your picture and im missing you touch i'm still trying to get used to being a marines wife i dont know if im doing it right but no matter what i'll always be there (in your heart) your here one day and gone the next everyday i do my best i'm staying strong keep holding on Im scared for you, so proud of you out there fighting for our freedom but I know im in your heart no matter how far At times i may get angry and i won't always say the right things but this life were living aint easy but together we can make it through side by side we can keep standing true pushing through and proving them wrong i'm here for you and it dont matter how far your here one day and gone the next everyday i do my best i'm staying strong keep holding on Im scared for you, so proud of you out there fighting for our freedom but I know im in your heart no matter how far
