You should plan a trip and then we can plan a picnic!
10 Things I would Bring on a Picnic
I do love a good picnic although I haven't been on a real one in years. These days picnics are typically had on my living room floor with my youngest. Its a rainy day thing we have. I do have some specific supplies that I like to bring when eating on a blanket in a park somewhere. 1 - A blanke...

Ten Reasons I Knit
Why do I knit? God knows its nearly as stressful as it is relaxing at times. The mojo comes and goes and in the past 4 years or so it has definitely been waning but its making a comeback lately. Here are some of the reasons why: 10- The joy... Continue reading

There is nothing I love more than sing alongs in the car. I can see why you'd cherish that memory.
I so want to learn to drive. The freedom of it so enticing!
Tick Tick Tick
When I was tasked with coming up with a list of ten things I was looking forward to in May, I honestly had a difficult time thinking of ten things. And, of course, today I found more things about May that are making me happy, though I must admit they aren't necessarily specific to May. I've been...
The Joy and the Sorrow of an Autism Diagnosis
I hate labels and boxes. I never fit in them comfortably, a little white girl in the South Bronx, a gifted child who dropped out of high school, I was pretty much the square peg for any round hole. I swore I'd raise my kids to be the same. No... Continue reading

I'm excited about your business. Inspire me why don't you? ;) Definitely looking forward to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
10 Things I'm Looking Forward to in May
1. My dad's birthday, though he won't be here. He's going to be in Florida, helping my brother and SIL with their upcoming move to Texas. He might not be here, but he will get to spend his birthday with my brother, which hasn't happened too often since my brother moved out of state in 1995. 2...
I'm eager to hear the answers myself. I like Real Simple but it doesn't really cover the same range of subjects and it tends to bore me after awhile. I go on and off subscription with it. There's no way i can ever really live the life they preach, lol.
Self-Disenfranchised
That post title isn't necessarily supposed to make sense. For those of you who read Self magazine way back when, there used to always be something in the magazine that started with self-. I've been reading Self for probably close to 20 years, and I know that my co-pilot Nancy has also been a Sel...
Yup, we are :)
Focus or the lack thereof...squirrel!
A friend told me that rather than having a New Year's Resolution, she has a theme. As in 2013 will be the year of... kind of thing. So jumping on this bandwagon I decided that my theme this year would be focus. Rather than attempting any one or more specific goals I would just attempt to stay f...

Of course I loved the Sid and Marty Krofft shows. The Bugaloos and H. R. Puffinstuff being my favorites. I was actually called Witchy-Poo by a friend I worked with for years. Don't quite know how I allowed that to happen lol. I also loved colorforms. I always remember my first set, it was Planet of the Apes and I played with it for hours!
10 Things You Miss From Your Childhood
This week's Ten on Tuesday topic has me feeling a little sad, remembering things from my childhood that I don't have now. I tried to limit my list to things other people can relate to, so I won't talk about specific people or feelings or other things that won't make a lot of sense to you all. Th...
Its funny. I've loved this since I was a kid. Its one of the rare female voices in the lost books of the bible. I tend to seek it out when I'm feeling helpless or weak and it always helps me find my power again.
Silent Poetry Reading in Honor of St Brigid's Day
The Thunder, Perfect Mind From the Nag Hammadi Library Translated by George W. MacRae I was sent forth from the power, and I have come to those who reflect upon me,and I have been found among those who seek after me.Look upon me, you who reflect upon me,and you hearers, hear me.You who are wait...

That bread looks delicious. Next time I visit you can make it and I will share it with you. I'll keep an eye out for the mix.
You know visiting Ireland is on my bucket list. I so want to go there and to Scotland.
Paddling Aimlessly About the Isles
I'm continuing my armchair travels, meandering about aimlessly and enjoying my little escapes from real life immensely. I've started to miss Ireland quite a bit. I haven't been there in close to 14 years, believe it or not. That's a far cry from the 1-3 trips a year I used to take, but real life...
I love raising butterflies. Its so cool. Excellent example also!
Ten on Tuesday - Sticking With Your Fitness Routine
I'm hardly the person to advise about this, as I'm terrible at sticking to a fitness routine. But, here are things that work for me sometimes: 1. Find a fitness routine that you enjoy and *want* to do; it's easier to keep doing it. 2. A workout buddy who is committed can also keep you work...
I'm on board with 2 as well. I really like the way they look next to each other.
Too Many Choices. . .Help!
I wasn't feeling great yesterday, so I didn't do much, but I did finish three knitting projects. . . one started in 1998. The weather was crap, so there aren't any photos. However, as a reward to myself, I have broken into my Chevron Love Mitten Kit from Knitterly Things. My colorway is Graffiti...
I like this hour idea. I think I'm going to try it! Funny today I've been thinking about goals also. We are so in synch sometimes its scary!
Inspiration
I'd be nothing without you. Well, I'd be something, but I would be different than I am today. Each and every person who comes into my life has some influence on me, positive or negative, with behaviors, ideas, and attitudes that I consider, embrace, or reject. As this new year starts, I'm trying...

That kind of thing drives me nuts. Who can you trust if you can't trust the ball band on your yarn?
2013 Starts Tomorrow
I know what the calendar says. I've noticed that all the perfume commercials on tv in December have been replaced by weight loss ads. And I choose to ignore it. Tomorrow is when I will officially begin 2013. You can call it procrastination, but it's probably more along the lines of denial. You s...

Twin power in action as always :D .
Nobody can touch Earth Kitt as Catwoman but Julie is a worthy runner up and yes I felt the same about them as I did about Emma Peel in The Avengers even if not quite as strongly. They were very empowering.
I Am Woman, Hear Me Meow!
You may have seen this around over the past couple of weeks: If only. . . It turns out this was yet another occasion on which Nancy and I found out that we were of the same mind. (This happens often enough that it's somewhat commonplace to us, spooky to other people, and downright confusing ...
I'm making some tonight I hope.
It's Been That Kind of a Day
At least I made pumpkin bread.
Love the stars, they are so cute.
Supahstah
That would be Bostonese for Superstar. I don't speak Bostonese usually, but this is one local pronunciation that I use sometimes because it's fun to say. Because I have the attention span of, I don't know, maybe a labrador retriever, I started a new project. So, yes, I am still working on my...

Those potatoes look delicious and you beat me to the Lehane! Its definitely next up in my list.
Avoiding the Political Hot Potato
I did vote today, and I hope you all did, too. I noticed something really strange, too. When we were anticipating Hurricane Sandy, people were advised to take in the political signs they had in their yards, lest they become dangerous projectiles during the storm. After the storm, a lot of people...
