Sago Mini brings their familiar animal characters (bunny, cat, dog and bird) to life in Sago Mini Town ($2.99 at Apple App Store | Google Play). Sago Mini town is a buildable town that kids can make their own. I love the endless open play that young kids can not only work on creatively building themselves but also having fun at it at the same time. There are four unique locations with backdrops for kids to choose from. But they can build just about anything no matter which location they choose. Want a beach in your city? Go for it!... Toca Boca has just launched a new app for kids, Toca Life Hospital ($2.99 at Apple App Store | Google Play). Filled with adorable characters, the app brings the hospital world to kids, making a scary situation fun. Kids will have a better understanding of how a hospital works since the app features tools you would find in a real hospital such as gurneys, bandages, crutches, hospital beds and more. The game is all about open ended free play and you can move people around from room to room. Chloe loves this game so much and was doing her own... Continue reading

I've been really enjoying my bullet journal and journaling/sketching more regularly. I purchased these Kuretake ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Watercolor Pens ($61.89 on Amazon) last year and these are my go to brush pens for coloring and decorating my journal. I love Japanese pens and these do not disappoint! I have limited space in my condo and it's always hard for me to get out all my watercolor supplies when I want to get artsy. I love these pens because they store easily in their box and I can grab the box or just a few colors and take... Continue reading

Today is not only the first day of Spring, it's also The Very Hungry Caterpillar Day! I'm sure I don't need to introduce Eric Carle's beloved book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar to you guys. It is one of my favorite children's book as a child. Since my husband is French, we got the French version for our daughter Chloe when she was born in 2008. It was really fun to be able to read my favorite book in a different language. The book was first published back in 1969 and has been translated into 40 different languages. This book has... More often than not, if you have kids, you probably have one of Amy Krouse Rosenthal's books. Her children's books have been constant favorites of Chloe's and they were extra fun for me to read. I loved her witty sense of humor in her books from toddler favorites like Little Pea to the book above, Chopsticks that is hands down one of Chloe's all time favorites for the last four years (with Spoon as a close second). She saw me pick it from her bookshelf this morning and I just found her read it again still laughing out loud on... Continue reading

(Photo: Kate.net) Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I love how my daughter get so excited about passing out cards to her classmates. For those of you who don't necessarily love the commercial cards (superhero, anything that's actually a toy you can buy), I love how many crafters and artists have shared free printable cards for kids online. I adore these printable animal Valentine's Day cards from Kate.net are already laid out perfectly to print on letter sized paper with gridlines for easy cutting. I would recommend to print the cards on card stock paper. Here are more... Continue reading
