I try not to make life difficult for them, but my rights must be respected. The "stop and frisk" madness in NYC by the NYPD is nothing but the military gone roughshod over people's rights. The public couldn't believe the people in the neighborhood didn't see anything. Now the neighbors are saying they saw weird things and reported it to the police. More is going to come out in time.

My evolving take on all of this at a higher level, and that I am applying to myself, is that the overwhelming majority of upper middle class America is absent a true martial education. Most of us cannot put two and two together with the understanding that our exercise and diet regimens would make us better fighters. We only think of evolutionary biology when it comes to sex, but not to fighting and war. We understand our attraction to representations of violence, but so few of us actually spar or hunt that we don't realized how much we have intellectualized all of it. This isn't about socio-economic status, it's about age and biology. They have less testosterone flowing so they are more likely not to get into the fight mode. Back in the day, I knew Baltimore, and I knew the code. But I also knew from those who were trained to fight, that fighting is the last resource, and if you can, you avoid it. When you are older, and have less testosterone flowing, so you think. Back in the day? You threw down. Having faced my share of white, Black, and Latino drunks, the goober who said this screams stop and frisk, needs to have his pants pulled down and have his rectum checked for drugs, in public.

The man who cannot save $100,000 cannot save the planet. Jesus didn't but did.

The solution isn't ideal because the same problems conservatives and libertarians complain about, learned and continuing dependency, still exists.
