With the TES supplement, the debate about Citizenship in all it's manifestations has taken a huge leap forward. Thank you for posting these notes and extending the discussion about what must be adressed in effective learning opportunities. In the work that you have done over the past 10 years or so, have you been able to track the behaviours of the students you have worked with? Is there any discernible difference in the way in which individuals engage as adults and as professionals as a result of their immersion at school/college? As I am involved in education in the primary years I am particularly interested in how we should be guiding children into this digital world. Going beyond 'netiquette' and addressing just how far you go in expressing yourself, promoting decency and restraint, identifying what is appropriate, yet enabling children to recognise how powerful the tools can be when harnessed in a positive and constructive way.
