Hello, Karen, Its really difficult to tell you what you need to do based on the little info below. Whether or not you need more protein in and of itself is merely one factor of many that would contribute to how, when and if one gains muscle mass. Let me know if you would like to book a consult. Pea protein is not paleo; no legumes are part of the paleo diet. Id recommend eating whole, fresh eggs, rather than just whites. Best, Nell Stephenson Begin forwarded message:

That product has pea and rice protein, so this is not a Paleo friendly option. Please refer to new site and blog. Links below. Nell Stephenson twitter: @nellstephenson facebook fan page:

Heres another method that needs no special equipment. You can use a little bit of salt called for as youre an athlete and will be sweating out quite a bit while youre trekking along! • 1 pound lean, boneless top round steak • 1-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste Wrapbeefin plastic wrap and freeze 30 to 60 minutes until firm, which makes it easier toslice evenly.Using a sharp knife, slice the beef across the grain into thin strips about 1/4-inch thick. Combinesalt, pepper, garlicpowder, onion powder, andcayenne pepper in a large zip-top freezer bag. Seal and squish to combine. Place beef strips in themarinade, re-seal, and toss to coat. Open bag, squeeze out all the air, seal, and refrigerate for 12 hours orovernight. Preheat oven to 250 F. Drain meat strips from marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Place a baking rack inside a jellyroll pan.Arrange beef strips on the rack in a single layer with room in between for air circulation. Bake for about 4hours, until dry to the touch. Remove from oven and let air-dry in a cool dry place for another 24 hours. Store in an airtight ziploc bag.
I agree with you as far as the sacred nature of the morning coffee! : ) With all due respect, however, I am just not a fan of the dairy part; as its not part of the Paleo diet.
Turkey Soup with a little pizzaz, that is! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some new flavors after staying quite true to the traditional holiday themes for all my Paleo dinners and events I've hosted and attended... Continue reading
