OK... we need posters, t-shirts, puzzles, and coasters STAT!!!
"as his kilt rises..."
I think this is one of those rare things that can be equally enjoyed* by those who have context, and those who don't. *for very disturbing values of 'enjoyed'
BAZINGA!!!
never forget your roots
While walking through Comicon three or four years ago, I stopped to look at one of those booths that's filled with a hundred different T-shirts. Somewhere among the various superhero crests and clever nerd phrases and obscure sci-fi homages, I saw a fairly simple design: an Atari joystick, sitti...
That character gets me laughing every time. Mainly do to it reminding me of some relatives on my Father's side of the family. LOL.
"Mi llamo es Bob."
Yesterday, I saw this video linked at Reddit. It's one of those things that I haven't thought about in years, but the instant I saw it, it unlocked some memories, one of which I left as a comment: I was a huge Night Court nerd when I was a kid, and from time to time I would ask Brent to do ...
I completely feel for you. I recently got off my ass and took time off writing(yeah, I said that) to finally FINISH, Mass Effect 1. The next day I went out and grabbed ME2 and transferred my group of misfits, and flew off into the Universe once again. I felt, loss, humor, and love at meeting old friends and finding new ones so far in ME2. I love me some quality RPG and deep story in a game.
regarding the matter of video games v. movies
I had the house to myself last night, so I could watch whatever nerdy DVD or DVR'd movie I wanted, as loud as I wanted. I've been talking about re-watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended editions, of course) for a couple of months, but when I finally had a chance to get started, I ended...
That was stunning work... The animation, voice work, and everything.
kyle + rosemary is finally online
I'm too busy to write about how incredibly awesome my trip to Seattle was, but I just found out that kyle + rosemary is online, and I want everyone in the world to watch it, because I'm so proud of it: Find more videos like this on Channel Frederator RAW (Thanks to reader squonkmama for the ...
Oh this rocks more then the Rockbiter in the Neverending Story.
wil does the commodore hustle
I joined the cast of Loading Ready Run at the Child's Play Dinner last month for another episode of Commodore Hustle! It's long, but it's worth it. THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! Ah, that joke never gets old.
Be excellent to one another and party on.

happy winter festival of your choice
We celebrate a non-religious, minimally-commercial version of Xmas here in Wheatonland, and the 2008 installment is awesome. Whatever you choose to celebrate this time of year, I hope it's filled with all the stuff you like, none of the stuff you don't like, and that you're surrounded by peopl...
You rock sir. Been writing for years, yet until recently I have done NOTHING with it. Thanks to you and your blogging, and a push from my wife. I am finally putting my thoughts and dreams out there. Thank you sir.
five simple ways to Just Keep Writing
I'm reluctant to pass myself off as some kind of authority on writing, because I still have a lot to learn, but from time to time I'm asked a question that I can answer with some degree of confidence. That happened earlier today, and (as you'll see at the end of this post) I thought it may be wo...
Comedy gold.
The Naked Gun, GTA IV style
This is totally made of 100% epic win. (via Digg)
Freaking A, I am sooo glad to have RFB back again.
Radio Free Burrito Episode X
Holy crap! It's a new episode of Radio Free Burrito! This is another music episode, focusing on three styles I really like: Rockabilly, Psychobilly, and Surf. I found a ton of great artists on the podsafe music network, and I hope you enjoy the musical stylings they provide. Show notes: The l...
Keep on rolling 20's in the Astral Plane, Gary. I will catch ya on the flip side and bring the Mountain Dew.
across the sea, a pale moon rises.
I just found out that Gary Gygax died. He was only 69. I failed my save vs. stunning blow, so forgive me if this isn't the most polished thing in the world. For most geeks, RPGs are a huge part of who we are, and many of the games I've loved -- and continue to love -- probably wouldn't exist as...
Why do I keep hearing the phrase "The shitter was full!" When I look at that pic?
Take care and get better.
in a room without a window in the corner
I saw the doctor yesterday, and he used that thing from Total Recall to suction about 90 pounds of extremely disgusting stuff out of my head. (Please note that certain aspects of these reports may be exaggerated for various reasons, mostly because I find them amusing.) He told me that I have to ...
I have to admit that I am not a political person, but when he speaks I really "feel" what he is saying about our country.
not that my endorsement means much of anything, but . . .
I have been told that I am a Podcast Vet... yeah, it sounds stupid to me too. I have Co-Hosted a few podcasts, and even created/wrote for some. I now have a SciFi in-character one for Tabula Rasa MMO. I have to say PLEEEASE keep the Podcast coming. Also 30 minutes is a perfect time/size amount, and I love to hear ya rant about stuff. Peace out... GeekLord.
a different perspective on numb three ers
The art department at Numb3rs created the best fake comic convention I've ever seen for last week's show. The level of detail was phenomenal, including things like a stack of flyers welcoming participants to the con, booths from Wizkids, and WOTC, and appearances by several different real life c...

Lock and Load, Soldier!
Tabula Rasa: The Best New MMORPG You're Not Playing
Tabula Rasa is number two on my slowly evolving 'games of the year' list. (Hey, this gal has to work for a living, too, you know, and this doesn't pay the bills.) Richard Garriott probably ought to be the most famous name in mmorpg gaming. He was the founder of one of the first serious gaming ...
Fucktards... Interweb punks need serious burning on a pyre. Your a stunning writer, actor, father. Rock on,Dude.
the best thing i have ever read on the internets
Jonathan Coulton: Really? This is a good use of your time, to make someone you’ve never met feel bad just because they made an amateur fan video about something they really like? Where’s your thing that you made and put online for everyone to see, you chicken-shit cockhole? He writes this in res...
Damn... reminds me of my Wife and I. She is one of the only people on Earth next to my Daughter that simply "gets" me. Freaking Sweet!!!
the best thing, ever
Anne and I went into a little coffee place in Eagle Rock this afternoon, on a spur of the moment date. While we waited, the girl who poured our coffee looked at me from behind the espresso machine and said, "Are you who I think you are?" I've heard this question a lot in my life, and there real...
