Being a mom to a baby, and even harder sometimes- a toddler, can be tough. Rewarding, but tough. You get the snuggles, the baby fat rolls, the mama-unconditional-I-need-you-stuff, that you don’t always get being the mom of a 6-year-old. But... Continue reading

I have been to Costco but only with my mom, I've never been a member. I understand the bulk thing but unless you have a huge family- You can just as many deals at Target (GREAT FOR PAPER PRODUCTS) I do monthly trips to Target instead. Try it- you may like it :) I also think buying in bulk can sometimes lead to wasting/stuff going bad... again, unless you have a big family.

My experience is that preschool for a 3 year old has been a good thing, especially if there are not OLDER brothers and sisters around to help 'teach' life experiences, etc. 5 days a week, I think, is a lot... but 3 days is great. My son did a '2's' program 2 days a week and then a 3's program 3 days a week - for a few hours- and then 4's- 5 days a week-he loved it, made friends, which leads to playdates, and did 'projects' that I would never have thought of. He's in kindergarten this year and on the first day- we walked him to his classroom, he waved good-bye and didn't look back.

I'm surprised! Down here in DC - full day, every day is the norm. My son is in kindergarten this year and goes to school 8-3pm; in the beginning of the year he was very tired by the end of the day, but now- I can't imagine him not being in full day; any day he has off he says the same thing, "So, what are WE DOING today?" Good luck and here's looking forward to September- obviously not because you don't want him around- but because a 6 year old needs more stimuli than (I) can provide :)

It's... BLISS! But make a daily list of what you're doing or you may find yourself saying, 'Where did the day go?' seriously- the nicest part is in the evening- I've found myself saying, 'omg, I'm all done; what magazine would I like to read ?!'

Don't Give Up! :) I agree with Leticia, above. Very Cheap wines don't taste good- BUT there are inexpensive ones that do- And I also love Moscato- it's very sweet and light tasting (it's low in alcohol too :) So nice to sip in Spring, out on the deck, etc. :)

I like that :) I don't think I've ever met anyone who doesn't worry... at least a little bit about stuff. With that said, I am saying a great quote to myself everyday.. that I saw while watching Star Wars with my son: "Do or Do Not. There is no 'Try'." - Yoda I love Yoda :)

We still have logs and emergency battery-powered lamps by our fireplace... even though it's now March; my husband thinks if we put them away too soon- it'll jinx us, and we'll get another storm- I'M NOT KIDDING :) xo glad we all survived :)

lol- the Old Me used to say those kind of things too (to myself) SSHHHHH- don't tell anyone :) I am proud to say that I do wear makeup everyday now... for the past year... Yeah, my son is 6 - it only took me 5 years, but I don't think you can even think about make-up when you're dealing with diapers... and stuff! WELCOME TO DCMM :)

I DO NOT KNOW why people are going crazy !! We just had a 2 foot snow storm in December... and it was fun. I was at the grocery store yesterday, and I agree; I don't know what is up with the milk- I bought 1 gallon, like I always do. Have fun in the snow :)
