I can't believe how good these taste. That's what I want to start with. Our apartment is a little gloomy and dull, plus there is snow on the way at the end of the week! So since the calendar says it is Springtime, I've decided to pretend it looks like Spring outside. I am generally distrustful of... everyone. I don't think blindly putting trust in people makes any sense unless you enjoy getting burned. Trust is earned, not freely given, and this point has been re-iterated to me an alarming number of times through the actions of people I don't know, do know, or thought I knew. While I think this tactic saves me a lot of emotional trauma, I think it potentially blinds me to any goodness in people. (From here.) I really like bananas, but I am super picky about the ripeness window for eating them. Like, too picky. So when they pass my window, they are still perfectly good. The boyfriend can't eat all the bananas when I'm being a princess; enter banana bread. I love banana bread. These can kind of pass as healthy too since they are whole wheat? Pre-heat oven to 375F. Mark left for Newfoundland yesterday. He has a business trip there, which is totally reasonable since half of his company works here and the other half works in Newfoundland, but it is still very strange since he is going to be our hometown on business instead of pleasure. I think I live pretty healthfully. I know that I at least try to be healthy, which counts for a little. I eat vegan, so no added cholersterol, lots of veggies, lots of eating at home instead of out. I don't eat much bread. I don't own a car and walk or get public transit (which still involves lots of hiking around from bus stop to bus stop) and ride a bike. So I am a student (again), which means I am hella broke. I eat a lot of rice and am desperate for new jeans/any jeans but continue to hold out for "one more month". That said, the walls in our apartment are DRAB and I can't handle them anymore. It wouldn't be so bad if they were actually just white, but they are this nasty off-white that looks like white that has been stained by decades of tobacco. Foul. NOM. I love a good cinnamon bun. Always have, always will. I used to stay at my Nanny's house a lot as a kid and she would often have cinnamon buns for me in the morning.
