Hilarious photos and comments Wil! Love this!!!

Been sick at home with a major cold since Tuesday. My hubby fixed a wonderful chicken soup for me and though it didn't mak me healthy again, it sure gave me some of my energy back. Now I am mostly exhausted from all the medicine so this week is about staying in bed sleeping, watching old Flintstones DVD's and playing with the IPad. Hope u feel better, Wil.

I very much enjoyed it. It reminded me of the child I used to be who rented tonz of books from the public library and found a lot of joy in stories like these. Thanks for that memory.

Thanks for your thoughts and insight into your working process, Wil. It has given me a lot to think about and helped me return to my own story development for my novel. I hope you were able to continue working on your story, too. :-)

I have to say that while being the same age as you, Wil, I only discovered my interest in Apple products since the IPod first was introduced. I had two IPods, now an IPad2 and an IMac. I love working with Apple products and though not everything they do is good and not every product works for me, I love the overall experience of working with those devices. Thus, this is indeed a sad day and sad news. Thanks for sharing your story, Wil!

10 years?? Wow. I am reading your blog since before you went "in exile" but it took me a long time to comment after that. Congrats and Wil, I think we have to thank you for sharing your thoughts in this blog. It is always fun to read and I love coming here. Keep going! :-)

The game is crap but I like the episode anyway. It is TNG! All the early episodes are a little funny to watch nowadays but it is a treasure of tv history to me! :-)

I am stunned that its been 25 years! I do love that movie to this day and I do remember clearly when it first came out. 25 years? Wow. Very touching words, Wil! I think many of us who grew up with that movie, other Rob Reiner movies, other River Phoenix movies and all that stuff feel very sentimental now. Great times, never to be forgotten!

You know, those are the kinda moments and stories between a child and a parent that that child will remember and take with them for the rest of their lives, probably tell their own children later on in life. I loved reading it. Thanks, Wil.

I imagine that must have been scary and uncomfortable for you. I am a Trekkie for some 20-something years now, I don't collect the autographs (in fact, I often give them to other people). I always liked the panels most where I can listen to you guys answering questions, sharing stories etc. and as for the autograph sessions, you are absolutely right, it is about those few seconds where you can exchange a word or two or a smile.

I only have plenty of experience in drinking beer, not making it. Hehe ... I look forward to reading how it all turns out and hope you guys have fun!

At least your cat places the poop in the litter box. Mine jumped out of the box in the midst of doing his business there, leaving some of his poop across the floor and ending his ordeal by wiping his butt across our living room carpet. Afterwards he walked around letting me know that he felt, somebody has made a mess and the "staff" is not fast enough at cleaning it all up. That is cats for ya! I enjoyed the post! Also am enjoying to read more new post these past few days! Keep'em coming!

Oooh I love that story! But then I am part of the cat staff community. My two little lions here wake me at 5 AM EVERY DAY and even if I pretend I don't hear their meows or "enjoy" soaking in some of their fishy breath or mind the fact that they jump on my bladder, they are relentless. And I love them for it! Are you still working on a follow-up to "Hunter"? I loved it!

Hey Wil, I read Memories of the Futurecast on my Ipad and it was such a treat in many ways. First of all, TNG is what made me love Star Trek more than any other show. Even with those first rather weak episodes where the show and the cast had to find its place, I feel very nostalgic. I have read a lot about the series and I don't dare mentioning how often I watched it. Your book has given the whole experience a new layer, humorous, heartfelt and just a description that I as a reader could identify with and feel connected to. You are right with many of the rather critical, yet amusing, insights you give but you don't make it sound like you wanna diss the show. That is just great. And the background stories you tell from behind the scenes are a joy. To me, that book - and I soaked it in in two days - was a trip down memory lane with someone who loves Trek, someone who has experienced it and does not take the whole thing too serious. Plus, I am pretty much your age, so for me it is also a trip back to the days when I was young ... er! Very much anticipating the next one! Nicole
