You're right, we do have a table in the kitchen too. I love your idea and actually have wanted to do that between the kitchen and family room (where we have another banister) so we could have a good place for a buffet...and more kitchen storage.

Sean is afraid I won't like it since we will be stuck with the wood base in between the carpet. I think if we paint it a similar color I'll be fine. So excited to try it!

We just purchased ours after the class on Sunday so we only have used it once so far. As far as I understand at this point of salt slab ownership, you just heat it up in the oven or on the grill and cook on the surface.

Hi Christine, It does not have wheels, but here is the tabletop http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40136558/ and here are the adjustable legs http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60105301/ The desk is about 35" tall. Hope that helps :)

As I am sure I have told you, this recipe has been made at least a hundred times since I called you in desperation for it all those years ago. It's one of the best recipes we have ever been lucky enough to have. Hope to see you soon...concerts in the park are coming up fast!
