Thanks for your comment which highlights the importance of substance abuse and mental health services in the response to HIV/AIDS. SAMHSA is among partners working to implement the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. However, SAMHSA does not currently have personnel stationed in the HHS regional offices as the other agencies listed do which is why they were not listed in the post. However, SAMHSA and it's grantees among the key agency partners working with CDC, IHS, HRSA, NIH, OASH and others to implement the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. You can read more about what SAMHSA is doing in this regard in two recent guest blog posts by SAMHSA’s HIV/AIDS policy lead.
