Jermaine O'Neal has recently been linked in trade rumors involving Suns big man Amare Stoudemire.
A likely scenario would be O'Neal and a first round pick for Stoudemire. Teammate Michael Beasley has also been mentioned, though shopping O'Neal would seem to fit better with long term plans.
Send em Haslem too!

Observations from Wednesday's 111-103 loss to the Raptors at Air Canada Centre: The injury absence of Michael Beasley in the second half showed just how fragile this production is. There is a reason why there has been a season-long dance with .500. How much more can Erik Spoelstra ask of Dwya...
Thank god we didn't get Odom. Hes nowhere near the player we regard him as.

The Heat don't have talent by choice. When you draft Dorell Wright and then start Penny Hardaway over him in a throw-away season, you're not interested in developing your own talent. When you draft Michael Beasley and start Udonis Haslem over him, you're not interested in developing your own talent. When you target guys like James Jones and Yakhouba Diawara in free agency and give guaranteed contracts to Chris Quinn, Joel Anthony, and Earl Barron, you're not interested in talent.
This organization has been run a$$-backwards since we won the championship in '06. We should have traded Marion and Haslem for Gerald Wallace and Emeka Okafor last year, the minute we drafted Beasley, and we should have rolled with a Wade-Wallace-Beasley-Okafor core. Move Blount's expiring, 2 firsts, and Chalmers this season for Monta Ellis, and boom -- you're in business.
It would have taken two or three years for it to come entirely together, but we'd be a legitimate playoff entity in the mean-time and a long-time contender once everything snapped into place. Instead, we're where we are now. 2010 free agency better f*cking work out, because we're already over-committed to it.

We need Bease back asap. How long before he is reentered into the starting lineup? Does he get Spo'd?

ASK IRA: Is Amare a better fit than Bosh?
Q: Do you think Amare would be a better fit alongside Wade than Bosh? -- Chris. A: No. I think there are too many red flags with Stoudemire health-wise and I'm not sure he'd be as willing as Bosh to play center. But, then again, Chris might not be available. If it was as simple as taking one or ...
Can't wait to watch the Diva Wade ordering Spo to bench Beasley in the 4th Q. He'll request that his buddy Haslem defends Bosh instead.

Bease outplayed Bosh last game. Haha, check ur stats fellow Grove inhabitant
Chalmers and Beasley and contrasting views
So, let's see, Michael Beasley doesn't play during crunch time in Monday's one-point loss to the Cavaliers, and the following day, coach Erik Spoelstra offers, "You know how we do things here: It's about winning. It's about winning, period. And everything else falls under that." Yet Mario Chalme...
Who gonna defend Bosh tonight, SuperCool Beasley?

Haha considering Bease outplayed him badly last game, I would assume so.

What's good about the Haslem and Love combo is that both players can play the center position and with that Miami has versatility at the low post which will leaves teams guessing about match ups. Michael Beasley forced to play the 4 spot is a bad bad move for the Heat.

Better rebounder. Much worse defender. Similar, maybe slightly better, offensively. No way he plays over Haslem on this team, though.
Posted by: josh | January 27, 2010 at 10:18 AM
Oh, ok. If were talking this team than I agree. Haslem is our best PF. I just think on another team that doesn't worship the ground that Haslem walks on would play Love over him. Loves the better rebounder, and better offensive player, with much more upside than Haslem.

Love would play like 10 minutes a game. He'd be our third best power forward.

``It hurts. Not hurts, but I want to be in,'' Beasley said, trying to find the right words. ``But coach would rather go with the vets. You can't be mad at the decision he's making. But at the same time, I'd rather be in there.''
Beasley is so professional. Phuck u Spo.

LeBron didn't dunk on Wade. Wade was trailing him and unlike a lot of superstars who are too afraid to get embarrassed, my man tried to contest the shot.

"Dagger."
Did you read the article? I've read that story about Wade since he came into the league. He won't last with his driving to the lane. He takes too much of a pounding. It's sensationalism. Whatever, if you really thought Wade would never return to form ... fine. I did.

A bit of pleasing misdirection from the Heat

ASK IRA: Isn't Wade at the point the answer?
Q: After watching last night's lineup of Wade, Q-Rich, Wright, Beasley and O'Neal, is that the Heat's best lineup? -- Perry. A: You could probably make the argument that on this roster, any lineup with Wade at point guard is going to be a better lineup. But it’s not something Dwyane wants to do ...
Same record, same level of talent, yet Durant is the "most naturally talented player the nba has ever seen".

I dont know about the most naturally talented player the NBA has seen, but hes up there. Hes 6-10 with a wingspan of a Center and has handles like a PG. He can shoot over anyone, his skill set is in a class where not many have been in.

don’t know if Riley will bring PF or another scorer to the team to help Wade and Beasley? I guarantee UDO will be a big part for Spo’ strategy in the playoff because the Bus will stop either Boston, Orlando or Cleveland before the bus make a complete stop in Miami. Beasley may score against any PF or SF and he will create mismatches against any SF in the league but he has issues defending PF. He will get better. In the playoff UDO might be a starter in order to be able to guard KG or Wallace. Playoff is a half court game or less you live in Arizona. Who is the best defender other than Wade in the team? I say UDO! We match well against Orlando but not against the other two team defensibly. Everyone Knows planning is part of the execution and when you are executing adjustments must be make. I wonder what Spo is going to do if Rivers decides to play KG and Wallace at the same time . I will sit Q, start Wright or put a big front line LIKE JO, UDO AND Beasley in other to play physical. UDO is way better scorer and rebounder right now. UDO is Better than Q, Wright is better than Q. In regard of Arroyo, I don’t think he is the answer but he is a professional. Compare his stats from the other two PG, look for the definition of a PG. I think he fill the category , Alston as well, no CHALMERS. Carlos as a starter, 500 record, only one blowout game as a starter, the lowest TO Assist ratio in the league, he has the best FG% in the team among PG. Best 3 point % in the team. He doesn’t take too many. I almost forgot it, he took Chalmers spot. Alston 4 blowouts as a starter in 10 games. I like Alston as well. He is a true PG and veteran. I usually be wrong most of the times!

Michael Beasley again attacked the rim at the outset. Good. More please. Yes, he opened 1 of 5 in his first stint, but the aggression was praise-worthy.
Theres a subtle Mike slant from Ira, and other beat writers. Its the cool thing to do nowadays.
Heat 115, Kings 84
Observations from Saturday's 115-84 victory over the Kings at AmericanAirlines Arena: Odd, isn't it, that Dwyane Wade (pictured below) could be named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for a week when his team lost by 39? But it still was a 3-1 week. But don't overstate the Heat's resilienc...
