Aww - Happy Birthday Lily!! I have one like this - just continues to amaze me with his sweet heart and unique outlook on life. Love it (and seriously want to track down people who write you mean comments - what is wrong with them?!!!).

Last week Lily turned five years old. Lily struggles with birthdays every year. She says they happen too soon and that she always needs more time to prepare herself for them. I totally agree with her. It doesn't seem possible that it's been a year since she turned 4. And it doesn't see...
Such a great pattern - I think I would use the new Melody Miller I just got in the mail :-) And I already clicked over to try and buy one but guess you don't have them listed yet - I'll try my luck in the giveaway :-)
New Tote Pattern and another giveaway
I've been working for a long time on a tote pattern to go along with Perfect Zip Bags and I'm happy to announce that Perfect Quilted Totes will be available in my shop this coming Monday, November 26. The pattern makes two sizes. The Tall Tote measures approximately 14½"T x 10½"W x 4"D and...

Modern Patchwork: Baby Roller Rink Back
This is part of a year-long series of posts about the quilts from Modern Patchwork. I'm highlighting a different quilt each month, and will be remaking either a regular size or mini quilt version of each of the book quilts. You can find my earlier posts about the Baby Roller Rink quilt here, her...
HI Sam - the main text print is by Timeless Treasures and I bought it at Pink Chalk Fabrics. I found the block in Fat Quarterly's London Retreat issue - not sure what it's called....
A pillow (and other things)
Got my pillow for Pillow Swap 8 done and ready to mail. It's pretty big (24") but hopefully my partner will love it. The text print is just so fun - it's a recurring theme with all the pillows this round - and there are some beautiful ones! Can't wait to see what shows up in my mailbox! I ...
Yes - at first I was a little confused and then I realized you fold the linen piece in half and applique it on to the main piece of muslin - so you aren't making the outside any longer - just adding a piece of linen over the muslin....does that make sense? Let me know if you have any problems....I've also added this not in the Flickr group too
Zakka Style Sew-Along - Week 14: Water Bottle Holder
Hi there and welcome to my stop on the Zakka Style Sew-Along! I really love all the projects in this book - so many great patterns and really practical items that you are able to make in your own style and with your own twist. Lindsey and Amy had an idea a while back to do a sew-along to Rashi...
Hi Julie,
You don't have to sew the other piece on....you just slide it onto the strap. You can use the strap you buy as an example before you take the hardware off.

Guitar strap tutorial
As I was making these, I thought they would be a perfect fit for a tutorial. They aren't hard to make - just take a little time and lots of straight-line sewing. Materials needed: 1/2 yard fabric 1/2 yard interfacing or fusible fleece (I used interfacing for mine - Pellon Decor Bond) cheap gui...
