Remember when all 3 dragons would be in the same room sometimes? You wouldnt be able to kill the 3rd because it couldnt render everything so the 3rd would constantly blink and you wouldnt be able to touch it with the sword. There are times I miss being the dot :)

I had a 1st ed monk that I spent about 2 days thinking up and writing up my backstory. Changing little details avery once in a while. Rolled my character and stapled it all together. 15 minutes into the fresh new campaign he died...

If you kind of look at it from Apollo's viewpoint Ten Years Gone could almost seem like it was about BSG.

When I was 10 or 11, I arranged a TV tray, a dining room chair, and a worn blanket to make a small tent in front of our 24-inch TV set. I carefully moved our Atari 400 onto the tray and plugged Star Raiders into the cartridge slot. I totally wish I had thought of that when I was 10...I wonder how long I can do that today before the wife yells at me.

Never did Mutants and Masterminds myself. Villians and Vigilantes was great for the roleplaying aspect had an awesome campaign where the characters were actually part of the New Mutants. Ill always have a soft spot in my heart(and a large handful of d6) for Champions. As rules heavy as it was we still had a blast. I do regret missing out on the GURPS craze. Sounds like it was a blast. Was I the only one who played Star Frontiers?

I had a similar encounter with Mr. Smith at Vulgarthon. He was greeting all of us as we went in. I shook the man's hand mumbled something and quickly moved on. I get to see him do his Q&A live in November. Wife and I are totally excited to go!

So much of what I do for entertainment is based on what he started. The mans work and work that was built upon his work has given me so many things over the last 25 or so years. Because of him I have friends I probably would not have had if not for him. He gave me a place to escape to when life was unbearable. To this day what he started still entertains me. This has hit me a lot harder than I would have guessed. When people whos work I admire pass I always feel a little sadness and a little regret that they have gone. When I heard Mr. Gygax died I felt like I owed him something. Like I still owe him something. My life was made better by what he started. Rolling for initiative wont feel quite the same any more.

A couple of things I would like to know. When did it become ok for them to show commercials in the movies? Its cheaper and more fun now to actually wait for the DVD release and pay $20... I live in an apartment and I like to be courteous to my neighbors. I absolutely hate this new mentality by companies where its ok for them to bombard us constantly with ads for stuff I have a .5% chance of being interested in. If the commercial is interesting I will watch it(The energy drink one where the man gets revenge on a bird for dropping on him). I dont need them blasted at me. Awesome article once again sir. PS. Robot distracting flying mail off Ford's satchel FTW.

Tho I would hazard to say that most of us have seen some or most of the material. We most likely have not seen ALL the material. I recently read Kevin Smith's Silent Bob Speaks which was a similar item. I enjoyed reading the items I had already read and the material I had not as well.

Its staggering the amount of damage Bush's administration has done to the country and our reputation. They are only trying to hold everything together for the next year and a half until it becomes someone else's problem. I just hope that the justice system can bring their guns to bear on them before or after that. I am not hopeful however.

Ill 3rd Andrews reccomendation of Threads. What a scary ass movie. But I have not thought about Z for a long long time sir. That was one of my first post stories as well. My introduction to the genre was playing Gamma World. Why the revival? I'd like to add that also we all like to poke sticks at what terrifies us if we can.

It seems a lot of people are taking this movie very seriously. I went with my fiance and my son and we all had a fun time. I enjoyed the story and campy fun of Tobey's rendiditon of Saturday Night Fever. Ill agree with Jon and say Dunst was not impressive. I have always thought of her as the franchise's weakest link anyway. I dont think of much she has done that has impressed me. Wait, she did make Mrs. Troi pass out once so I guess thats impressive... Turn your brain off go in and have fun...

Congrats sir! I always wanted to tell Kirk and Spock what to do. I figured I would do it in a novel someday. This was before I realized I had no talent for it that is.
