This kid looks like a stud. However, you can't overlook the competition he was playing against. He looked like he was playing against 8th graders. Welcome to the U

All you Miami bashers need to check yourselves. USC is a great private university, but Miami (also a private school) was ranked in the Top 50 of universities, it's not like he's going to Santa Fe Community College. Also, why the hate? If he sucks, why all the negative comments? The current HC of USC dumped Tennessee, as did Pete Carroll and all those kids!

Good Stats Coach P. Scott: Rob Chudzinsky wants to stay in the NFL. Why would he downgrade from an NFL OC to College OC for less money?

So the Gayturds get Muschamp and Weiss, and we get Golden and Fisch. hmmm i'll with hold judgement but by it's cover, it kinda shows how far the U has fallen and how fast the rest of the teams are rising. They better right this ship FAST or the U will become no better than Tulsa year in year out.

Really? 34 yrs old, and had the worst Offensive Stats in the Big Ten and he's coming to the U? Really? Manny point out something we're missing here, b/c this doesn't sound too promising.

Hey Carter, you have a right to your opinion and so did those who paid for that sign flying over the stadium. I know who paid for it. The individual(s) who paid for it are boosters - you know those people who donate a lot of $$ to the U and help pay for Shannon's salary? They also pay a lot of money for season tickets in supporting the team. They, have a right to NOT see their team get blown out at home by FSU, Virgina Tech, and ridiculous losses to USF and Virginia. Especially when this team was preseason #13 and picked to win the ACC.

If I here one more Cane fan bring up Ed Reed not being highly recruiting I'm gong to barf.......wait I just did.

If this class is all about "need" then why didn't Miami land a Big Time TE? Why are we picking up 2 star Tight Ends that no other BCS school wanted? Outside of 5 or 6 guys, this class is looking like a dissapointment.

So now every 5 star recruit stinks and every 2-3 star is or will be great right? I'm sure all you Shannon apologist would be screaming from the highest mountain tops if he would be landing a bunch of 4-5 star guys like Florida, Texas and Alabama. Face the facts, Shannon is a great guy and good D-Coordinator, but he is a second -tier head coach. After another 8-4 season next year, I expect to see some changes.

Wow Miami is really getting snubbed this year, not good Randy. You better do something about developing these 2 star recruits ASAP

Any more 2 star recruits available?

This article says it all, Miami is a great play to college football, but none of the highly touted recruits will wind up here. Great Job Randy! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/notebook?page=notebook/signingdaypreview2010

I love how fellow canes fans are talking about how good J Brown is going to be b/c he is a "sleeper". NONE of you have even see him play one SNAP!!! He's also probably playing against a bunch of undersized white boys in Illinois. Then you trash the recruiting services b/c they can't evaluate talent. But what about the other 11 teams in the Big Ten that passed him up in their back yard? I'm sure they can't evaluate talent either. Listen, I really really really hope he is a sleeper and does great things out at the U, but I would put my money he is a two year scout team player with limited snaps after that.

So what I take from that article is the following: Henderson is going to Ohio State or Notre Dame Ferguson is going to Florida State or ND Whitaker is going to GA or Auburn Shirley may not even come Coleman and Dixon are taking the trip to check out South Beach during the Pro Bowl weekend.....but we probably will get 2 star Jeffrey Brown!!!! Yeah!!! Way to go Randy.

If he is so committed to Miami, why is Rivals announcing that he is taking another visit?

You know who else recruits "smart players?" Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. Give me 4-5 star guys any day. Sure some will be too dumb to learn a system and not contribute, but the odds are that most will with their speed and size. You can't teach speed. You can't teach size.

I can't believe Miami is signing 2 star recruits while 4 stars keep running out the back door. Can anyone in the know find out why these kids are leaving and why so many blue chip recruits are coming to Miami? It cannot be b/c of competition b/c Florida is loaded and they still are picking up 4-5 star recruits.

BOF, that's a good point and I agree, however I think that subconsciencely there has to be a sense of accomplishment and knowing that your future is secure.
BOFACane, I mean, how do you think Reggie Bush, Vince Young, etc would play in their bowl games if the NFL draft was held on Dec. 1st? These kids are no longer playing to impress the scouts, they're done.

Can you tell me why Baseball is the only sport to have a draft BEFORE the collegiate season is over?

4-26 with runners in scoring position?? this team couldn't beat Belen with that lack of productivity.

They're done. This team came into the CWS running on fumes and you can tell by the way it took everything they had to get passed Arizona at home. They've been hearing how good they are and how many #1 picks they had and have let it get to their head. Half of these guys have checked out and are checking their bank accounts to see when their respective MLB teams makes their first deposit $$. I wish them well, but it doesn't look good.
