A small, white and gray post to ease myself back into hopefully blogging more regularly and to share some snowy photos from the other day. A blizzard in Virginia at the end of March — not something that comes around all that often! I've decided that the first photo will... Continue reading

I'm loving it, but still SO afraid of dropping it. I had a bit of a tragedy with my last phone when the screen spiderwebbed after dropping it on the sidewalk :/ SCARY!

We got a big snow last winter actually! It melted by the next morning, but it was a REAL snow and it was awesome! Probably my very favorite day in 2012. So cool that you lived here! summer in Cville is the very best :)

Yup, for almost three years! And yes, I taught English! pre-kindergarten all the way up to adults (mostly kindy though). I miss it every single day. SO cool that you're there. To say I'm jealous is a massive, massive understatement.

I do! It's an awesome place to work. I don't sew though, which is the tragic part! Thank you so much for your kind words! And yeah, the difference between the iPhone camera and my old phone's camera is night and day. SO fun.

yup, my apartment :) thank you! (try to ignore the one in the upper left corner with the cardboard and Ikea sticker filling the frame!)

I haven't taken a whole lot of low-light photos yet (aside from that sunset one, and it definitely wasn't dark out yet!), but low-light is tricky with every camera I think! And thank you about the wall! I've gotten so used to it that it doesn't even bother me anymore. ugh!

Yes! I really have to make a point not to ditch my real camera. I've completely forgotten about it over the past couple of weeks. yikes :/

Whew, It's been a while! Happy 2013! I haven't taken my camera anywhere in a month, but I recently switched over from my cracked-screen, constantly-frozen old Android phone to an iPhone 4s. Kyle had been secretly saving up for a while and surprised me with it on Christmas. Huge thrill!... Continue reading

Hi Jessie! I drew the bird on a wire image myself, and created the initial stamp design myself and then got the image made into a stamp at a local shop. But I know there are LOTS of Etsy shops that make custom initial stamps, so I bet you can find something really similar!

I started my top five feature a little while back with my top five Bob Dylan songs. Now that we're in the thick of the holiday season and I'm able to listen to Christmas music without shame (I held out until after Thanksgiving, which was a feat!), what better choice... Continue reading

Aw, thanks so much, Laura :) I honestly am so low-maintenance with my hair. I don't style it while blow drying (because I'm lazy), don't use any products (because I hate the feeling of crap in my hair), and I either quickly curl it or straighten it when I'm done to make it look consistent throughout, because it dries awkwardly half straight/half wavy/super frizzy.
