Its possible that if you used the silk it might have flown. Not sure if there's been very many silk quilts made but there's always a first. Lining with a very light wind resistant fabric like umbrellas are made of sandwiched between the silks would do the trick too, I think it would have flied. Awesome wall quilt, it would look darling hanging in a baby's room.

I couldn't remember the names of the products heres a link The pros use a pre-paste activator and applied with a paint roller to the back of dry paper this applies for sure grip. I found it easier to work with on the wall it doesn't dry as fast as using water and glides easier for proper placement. I have done it both ways and like the roller method best. http://www.paintinganddecoratingconcourse.com/articles/PrepastedPaperHanging1.html

Great Blog and wonderful idea for the wall paper samples. A doll house is every girls dream. Just some FYI .......for lasting beauty : I haven't wallpapered for decades but worked professionally as a assistant for a hanger in the 90s and its .....Advisable to add paste to even pre-pasted paper for a professional job if you want it to hold up for lasting beauty and wear. I haven't ordered a sample yet and don't know what the improvements in wallpaper have been since, but any wallpaper shop can advise you on what extra is needed and its very reasonable in cost-pennys I can't remember the exact process but we used a stabilizer and paste. The pre-pasted will work for small jobs like decorated projects, theme walls, ect. just fine, so keep in mind where the use is. Kitchens and bathrooms where there is moisture always add paste to even pre-pasted paper and it will last as long as you want to enjoy it without any seams or edges peeling up.

Caroline what a great interview and you have a lovely sweet puppy there. I also had a aussie we rescued in 99 I just lost her yesterday Rosie was a joy very loving and yes ridiculously protective too. Some FYI Aussie's are one of the few dogs born with a docked tail it's in their trait genes. Alba will give you years of joy and happiness

Cute little girly design I would love to have this in the cotton poplin to make something for my granddaughter. It would be perfect to try out on my new sewing quilting machine when it gets here this week. I can't wait I haven't sewed for over 10 years it would be a wonderful fabric to get back to sewing on.

I agree with Sharon "Mr Cool" is all so fitting and the fact that "Submariner" is a style of Rolex Watch and a awesome Sandwich Shop here in Tulsa Very Cool! I wish those fairies and gnomes would come to my home and finish my list of unfinished project, of course after they visit your house first!
