Oh my, your dog is adorable and funny! And your girls look so sweet - did you get a pic of their hair out of the rollers? I'd love to see!

Oh, oh, I find myself looking a lot at summer photos, dreaming of days at the cottage beach, planning where and what we are planting this coming year....with all this puffy snow this week, I should be capturing these moments...even the kids have been saying, 'can we go to the cottage' - ah, ya, it'll be absolutely freezing!

I love sewn cards and have been sewing paper for years...sadly every so often my needle gets stuck...and the little old man who repairs my sewing machine, shakes his head and says, "been sewing paper again!" These are love-ly!

We also use the left over oatmeal for bread, muffins, or pancakes the next day...sometimes it works out...sometimes it doesn't :) So many comments, how do you find the time? It's so easy for me to find so many lovely distractions online, between pinterest, blogs, ravelry and more...and my home calls me - "come"!

Boy, do I relate to the feeling of being under a microscope by nay-sayers. And your points encourage me, because I am closer to the beginning of it all. Technically only 1 of our 4 are school age. Thanks for the big light at the end of the tunnel!
Adorable! Do your girl's get motivated and inspired to be little homemakers when they where these? I fancy little aprons so much. I have come into abundance of them because of my need to check that section of the thrift store to see what kind of vintage/mennonite made apron I can find...now just to discover a neater way to display them - they tend to get all clutter-y hanging on the same hook in our home!

Good for you! All looks lovely! I can identify, I open my shop, close my shop, open my shop, get intimidated by shipping prices and close again:) Maybe when the 'littles' are not so little!

Lovely Garlic! If you eve decide to post a tutorial/instructions on braiding onions or garlic - I would be all eyes! I guess it is pretty straight forward, but I've never done it before and am hoping to this year. What a nice new addition - he/she looks like a border collie, a perfect farm dog!

I can always use a little more order in my life. Or I guess "rhythm" is the nicer word. A chalkboard menu has definitely been on my "to-do list". We for sure do homemade pizza at least one time a week, and BBQ another time of the week...but other than that's the most rhythm I've got. Besides the fact that I usually decide 'what's for dinner' b/4 10 or 11 am, so that I'm not scrambling. We also had outdoor swimming lessons this year (it was our 1st for our oldest whose 6yrs). It wasn't very popular, at the lake. I had romantic notion that it would be an exciting venture each year to stay at the lake (late Great Gramps. cottage) during the week of the beach's summer lessons. I think we will continue it since poor Joash, 4 missed out this year b/c of a broken collar bone. But Selah, 6 will take some encouragement, she did manage to tell her Papa that she had "conquered her fear":)....2 of the 5 days were "red flag" beach days, that means on Lake Winnipeg, swimming is not advisable.
Oh Tammy! That is horrible. I hope she recovers quickly and your summer really does reflect the Words in your images!

That is so heartwarming. I don't know why I just LOVE the chemicals that seem to flow in me also while I'm working on some handwork project, while my oldest daughter (6) does one too! BTW I have the very same vintage flannel - I made one of Selah's nightgowns from it and a baby quilt - love, love those vintage colours and patterns!

I LOVE LOVE Blessingways, Birth, and ALL of it! Beautiful gifts. Homemade gifts are really the BEST! What a nice friend you are!
What a week - gotta love those. In the past 7 years (3 births), I've had my moon cycles only a few times - and yes, each time hormones tsunami'd in...so my heart went out to you when I read, sick children, emergency, home on your own...I guess it it weeks like that you can look back and say you've conquered! Blessings!

We read this, this morning for a homeschool activity with my 3 littles all on my lap. 6 yr. Selah says: "I like Matilda and Yuri and the sweater!" 4yr. Joash says: "It was a fun story, I liked when he was watching the sheeps, and when they were getting the wool off the sheep!" :: Thank-you ::
