I saw the trailer the other day (Battle Room? Cool. The rest? Typical CGI fare) and immediately thought about Card; there are a whole lot of people who believe that he wrote the Ender book as a means of dealing with his own closeted self and accompanying self-loathing (Ender destroying the "Buggers" and then trying to redeem himself being a key piece of evidence). For what it's worth, the rest of his books are really, really bad.

My mom hails from Quincy (QUINZEE!) Mass., so my fixation on the horrific events that unfolded last week is partially due to genetics - I have fond memories of Boston from days spent there as a kid with my grandparents. This was a cathartic read.
