Lately my knitting has taken a turn from selfish to selfless, meaning that I am giving most of what comes off the needles away. Economic times are tough and there are many birthdays, wedding, babies being celebrated. Shopping for "meaningful... Continue reading

My neighbor and I each received the new catalogue in the mail. The in copy on page one had us gagging and laughing. I guess that they are no longer "mere retailers" but have morphed into "curators"of historical design. While they are not "following the pack"and lowering their prices, they are "liberating and abandoning their past" and embracing their future with overpriced "reproductions". By the way those books, at Marshall's with layers of red stickers, languishing on a shelf in the clearance aisle. Looks like they can't give these away.

It was another beautiful week here in Florida with weather vacillating between 70-something and hotter than Hades. I celebrated Mother's Day by quietly graduating college, albeit, 30 years later than most. I have left the bakery job and am taking... Continue reading
