Goodbye 2009. As years go, you had your moments and some of them sucked. Goodbye redundancy, bad friendships, feeling worthless. Hmm maybe things sucked because I let them. Why worry about the ‘friends’ who let me down when so many others continue to show me what a lucky girl I am, and whose love and support help make me a better person. Why worry about redundancy when 9 months on I am self employed, paying my bills (just), free of organisational politics, back stabbing and the constraints of a job title. Embracing all things pink. When I was 18 my mum made me a pink birthday cake. I was horrible to her, how could she make me a pink cake? Of all the colours to pick! As a young girl I’d had a pink bedroom, my best every birthday cake was a lovingly made pink fairy castle.
