Yes! You can use regular sugar! The coarse sugar looks prettier but the objective is to have sugared nuts so regular sugar will work. I hope you make this, its dang good!! We have sun in Seattle today and our temps might hit 65!!! Hope its nice where you live! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Connie! I hope you give these a go - they are really easy to make and they make a great gift! If I hand-write a recipe on a card for someone I always give them a fork holder to go with it and everyone seems to love it! Happy Valentines Day to you! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Kelly! Im going to be very sad, too, when I watch the last episode...I almost watched it last night but Im saving it for tomorrow to guarantee a nice Valentines Day for myself! I have loved every episode and I read somewhere there was going to be a reunion of the cast at one point but that never happened...after seeing the old Luke and Luke today, its probably a good thing! Id rather picture him as he was!! Happy Valentines Day to you and how great you sewed a quilt while you watched the show!!! I just sit and eat! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Sandra! Thanks so much for your very kind words! And its nice to meet you! When I think back to everything I made and did for my kids when they were little I wonder where that person went! Its much harder for me to summon up the energy to do all I want to do for my grandkids but its so much fun and their reaction to everything always makes it so worth while. I got to watch my Elsa open her book on Skype - her face was the payoff for sure! She loved every page - studied everything and after a brief escape to eat Skittles (she is three after all!) she returned and wanted to do it again. Thanks for reading and have a great day! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com
Hi Evelyn - Im SO happy you like it - yeah, that custard is to die for, my THIGHS can attest to that! Thanks for your nice comment - made my day! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Sharon! Thanks for the nice comment! Yes, it was all queso, the Seahawks had so little to do with the win!!! Ill forgive you for being a Patriots fan, somebodys got to cheer for them! Seafood might be on our Super Bowl menu, too, and really, we might even enjoy a bowl of New England clam chowder - well eat it up the same way the Hawks will the Pats! I do really want the Seahawks to win but lets be real, the Super Bowl is all about the FOOD!!! Thanks Sharon!!! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Rita - I have the regular sized Kitchen Aid and it all fits! I was a bit worried at first but it all fit - although it was a little tight! Really, this is SO good, you need to try it - and it makes 4 loaves - so freeze the other three, youll be so glad you have it on hand! Just make sure to mix everything except the flour first, then add the flour, without the mixer running, then turn it on very slow and it all will come together pretty quick - less than a minute even! Merry Christmas to you! Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com
