Its easier than you think! I cut a circle in the center of three of the cake layers, stacked them up with frosting in between just like I would normally do, then filled the hole in the center with MMs. The 4th layer is then put on top - without a hole in it - and voila! This is fun to do at any party - you can even put little toys or any kind of candy that will fit in the center so it can spill out to everyones delight!! The kids really liked it! To:

Hi Karen - Nope, no almond extract! I know, I know, it probably should have some, which would be fine to add, but when I tasted the original Prantls cake, I thought the almond flavor came from the sugared almonds on top and not from the cake itself...but Im sure adding in a teaspoon of almond extract could only enhance this cake!!
