Thank you so much! I will have to tell my mom and dad what you wrote - they do look young, and they act young, too! Maybe thats their secret - to always act they age you THINK you are?!? I dont know but I sure hope Ive inherited their youth genes! I have now fired the mister as my nurse, he changed the channels on my when I was sleeping and when I woke up the Kardashians were on and the remote was nowhere to be found!!! I had to suffer through 20 minutes of them before he returned! Oh well, all is good, I can hobble now with the best of them and Im even going to venture out today - I havent been in a grocery store in over a week, surely their sales have dropped and theyve missed me! Time to get back to cookin! Happy New Year to you! xo, Nan

Hi Synthia! Circle quilts are fast and fun! You can machine applique, with either zig-zag stitch or blanket stitch, and your circles can either be raw-edged or you can turn the edges (too much work for me!) or you can use a fusible on the circles (cutting out the fusible from the backside so its just around the edges) to make the circles more pristine! We have used a CD as our pattern, its the perfect size, (about 4 3/4-inches) although you can make the circles any size you want. Cut background squares, 7 1/2-inches makes a nice size but you can cut them as big or as little as you like. I think most of us in my quilt group have a Christmas circle quilt and a Halloween circle quilt - and I have made several with scrappy blue fabric circles and scrappy red fabric circles...the skys the limit! Happy quilting to you and if you make a circle quilt be sure to send me a picture! xo, Nan
