Hi Sandra! Thanks so much for your very kind words! And its nice to meet you! When I think back to everything I made and did for my kids when they were little I wonder where that person went! Its much harder for me to summon up the energy to do all I want to do for my grandkids but its so much fun and their reaction to everything always makes it so worth while. I got to watch my Elsa open her book on Skype - her face was the payoff for sure! She loved every page - studied everything and after a brief escape to eat Skittles (she is three after all!) she returned and wanted to do it again. Thanks for reading and have a great day! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com
Hi Evelyn - Im SO happy you like it - yeah, that custard is to die for, my THIGHS can attest to that! Thanks for your nice comment - made my day! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Sharon! Thanks for the nice comment! Yes, it was all queso, the Seahawks had so little to do with the win!!! Ill forgive you for being a Patriots fan, somebodys got to cheer for them! Seafood might be on our Super Bowl menu, too, and really, we might even enjoy a bowl of New England clam chowder - well eat it up the same way the Hawks will the Pats! I do really want the Seahawks to win but lets be real, the Super Bowl is all about the FOOD!!! Thanks Sharon!!! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Rita - I have the regular sized Kitchen Aid and it all fits! I was a bit worried at first but it all fit - although it was a little tight! Really, this is SO good, you need to try it - and it makes 4 loaves - so freeze the other three, youll be so glad you have it on hand! Just make sure to mix everything except the flour first, then add the flour, without the mixer running, then turn it on very slow and it all will come together pretty quick - less than a minute even! Merry Christmas to you! Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Sharon: The original recipe does not say to cool the pie before baking the meringue. I have put the meringue right on top of a very warm pie, baked/browned it and it worked great but there was some weeping when the pie was cut, nothing too bad though. It is best to let the pie cool, it doesnt have to be completely cold or even room temperature, just not hot. Happy Thanksgiving! Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com
