Thanks for such a wonderful post, Jay. So glad you are enjoying the book and flattered that you recommend it as inaugural reading for the quickly approaching 250-year anniversaries. Next year is the 250th for 1763 and all the American Revolution events that follow (Proclamation of 1763, Sugar Act, Stamp Act, etc.), so I have a feeling that historians will have reason to celebrate for the next 25+ years.
