Who was Rondo, Davis, and Perkins when they first came to the C's? No one expected much out of them. Boston is about getting blank-canvas-type players with the right size, athleticism, height, or something and make them work the Boston way. Not about getting a pick like John Wall, expect them to learn nothing, and place all bets on 'em. Avery Bradley, if they keep him, will turn into a phenomenal guard. Earlier in the year, they voted for rookies in many different categories. Bradley appeared in none... except for being voted the best defensive rookie of this year's rookie class. I LOVE THAT not only because Defensive is Boston, but because this was purely based on his college game, considering there had not been enough play time to judge on in the NBA. The C's only let Avery out of the cage and run wild once this year... April 15th vs. NY... 20pts on 10-16, 3rebs, 2 assists and steals. I'm drooling at the thought of this kid with a wingspan almost as long as Rondo's, getting some pure PG tips, passing tips, shooting from Ray, bag of tricks from Paul, and insanity from KG lol. The kid, imo, has a lot more confidence driving the paint and jump shooting(although not a shooter), than Rondo. I really wanna see what he learns because the C's create leaders. Perk, Allen, Thibs, Scal all on diff teams right now with their best asset being their experience and leadership.

You know if feelings were hurt, so be it. The point is the point. Lets not forget this is a blog where even Red's Army knows how to be harsh when expressing opinions. My opinion is that it took a lazy sourpuss to say "I'm just flat out not going to write a Re-cap because I believe it was a meaningless game and I feel like RedsArmy readers don't want to see a Re-cap anyway." Red's Army doesn't respresent fans. They enable fans, whether it's with new scoop to share or opinions that fans can agree or disagree with openly. But at the end of the day Red's Army is someone's or a group's opinion. We accept that it's someone's opinion, we read it, we use it. So if the opinion is "This is meaningless." THATS EXACTLY WHAT PEOPLE COME HERE FOR. So to conclude, leave the broken hearts and hurt feelings at the door. As no one is threatning a life, THIS IS A BLOG. I appreciate you taking my words into consideration, but I really, take the emotion out when making an honest effort to understand an opinion. Btw, Bantam, "You said they were lazy pessimists that didn't understand basic business principles." Please stop taking my opinions out of context. I never said they didn't understand basic business principle. I said for 1 day (or 2 days according to RedsArmy), they neglected ONE basic business principle, which is consistency in product. I'm all for healthier debates, but this isn't one or shouldn't be one. The fact is that this business took one of their products off of the shelves for one day, assuming no consumer would want it that day.

Passion in the form of Anger is sometimes a sign of the Love behind it. I love what you guys do. Every bit of it. I log on every single day, whether Celtics play or not. You have my fan vote and support 100%. My bookmark bar has 3 sports sites... NBA, RealGM, and Red's. It's that simple fellas. Keep it up.

As i stated to Bantam below, all we ask is for consistency. And not the Celtics end of season consistency. Which means, next season you should aim for 82 of 82 games, or don't recap at all. If i went to McDonald's everyday for a Big Mac, and just for today they decided not to sell it. Not for any solid reason, but just because they felt like it wasn't important to sell it that day. That would piss me off, not only because there's no concrete reason, but also because if they don't feel a need to deliver today with no concrete reasoning, then they should just not sell it anymore period, as to not disappoint a customer for that one day. Sorry if my previous post seemed intense, but it's just basic business principle i'm bringing to light and it really shouldn't be up to Red's Army to determine what's important, if the site is in fact for US, the fans. By all means write a Re-cap saying "This is meaningless but I'm writing it anyway." We come here for YOUR two cents which should kind of make you feel good, no?

"Getting on the ball" was referring to the fact that, essentially it shouldn't matter to Red's Army whether a game is meaningless or not. Red's Army has a group of everyday blog topics. If I, a Red's Army reader, only come to this site for Your Morning Dump. It's part of my routine, I wake up in the morning and I see what the Dump is. If I wake up one morning and there's no Dump. And i keep checking all day, and a Dump was never written. I might not depend on the Dump anymore for my C's news. When you are a huge C's blog, or any huge business for that matter, you have a lot of people depending on consistency. And when you offer many many products or blog subjects, people are going to pick their favorites. You might say I over-reacted but I think the post was just long. If I said "Hey Red's, where the hell is the Re-cap?" I honestly don't feel like my message would've gotten through. I never said "You guys suck at your job and always have." I simply stated that as a service to the people, be consistent, and don't determine what might be important to the everyday reader or not. Just keep posting. Any blog writer should be able to feel good about themselves about a reader of their blog being pissed that they didn't write.

What happened to yesterday's Recap? Is Red's Army not doing one because they don't care about anyone except the starters? I think that's pretty sad. The last two games were probably the most important games this season with the playoffs in mind. If our bench doesn't play with the confidence they did the last 2 games, in the playoffs, the C's are screwed. Yesterday was a statement game. Our bench against their strongest (or only) interior defense and offense. This year's biggest failure has been our inside presence, and most importantly interior defense and rebounding. You know, even if Red's Army doesn't agree with the stated reasoning of the necessity of a Re-cap, it's the last damn game of the regular season... so who was the lazy pessimist that said "well screw it i'm not going to write the last one." Get on the ball fellas. You must realize that different people use Red's Army in different ways, and as your followers increase, consistency is a must. I for one, look to Red's Army after every game for their two cents. Some people just have a single use for Red's Army, so if you slip just one day, their dependency on that one thing goes with that slip. Sorry for rambling but it really didn't sit right with me to have no Re-cap, especially after "Your starters for this meaningless game are..." This is a CelticsNation fan blog. We'll leave the lack of Re-cap or care about the game to the opponent that lost to the C's. I even requested some highlight reels of Bradley's jams, and even though I really didn't expect you guys to post em, I now feel cheated X2.

Meaningless game turned Showcase. I hope these games bring some confidence to the bench that will turn into some critical playoff intensity. *REDS ARMY - PLEASE POST THOSE TWO JAMS BY AVERY BRADLEY* :-) Good job rookie.

As much as i accept a Bone Bruise over all other (more serious) possibilities, I have to ask.... No Contact = Bone Bruise? His motion looked like a tear not impact. Oh well, as I said, I'll take it if it's true.

I've been saying this... Rondo.. Drop in Assists.. Increase in FGA.. C's can't win. Rondo can continue to attack the basketball, but not in place of an open man or finding the open man, and definitely not shooting in place of an actual shooter.

Great Article Red's Army.

The problem is simple... I keep preaching it... but f*ck it... I pulled some stats and did some research... In the last 20 games, in games where Rondo had more FGAs than Assists, the C's are 4-7. Even more interesting is that in the 8 loses of those 20 games, 7 are ones where Rondo, again, had more FGAs than Assists. Lets not make this struggle the C's have been having, complicated. Rondo is not to blame either. The method to win is to blame, and Doc needs to admit the biggest mistake he made the entire season was trying to turn Rondo into a shooting PG.

"Taking Stock" Awesome concept. I love it. I'm willing to bet these will become Colosseum for discussions as loud as the NY Stock Exchange during market.

Well said Farmer. I've been trying to calm the C's fans, telling Rondo "SHOOOT" for months. It's idiotic. Complaining about Rondo's lack of shooting ability as if that's the reason we love him in the first place. It has screwed him up for the last couple of months simply because he's arrogant and listens to the criticism. They drove Rondo to play how he does now and now want to blame it all on him for it not working out. The beginning of the season (and all critics seem to have forgotten) it did not matter who was on the floor, who was injured or not, the C's were getting stuff done with all odds against them. They made Rondo change what he concentrates on, knowing his OCD is what made him obsessive in being the best quarterback in the first place. Ugh. I hope Rondo can mentally go back to November, in time for the playoffs. If we don't get 18 (besides unforeseeable things like injuries, it will only be because a player's change in roll. Not the trade, nor a player have a bad game. UBUNTU. Please understand it. It will allow you to understand every Celtic game in a very simple manner. The C's are the simple... when it comes to why they win and why they don't.

Finally an article that highlights why you DON'T want Rondo concentrating on baskets when you NEED to make a shot. Fantastic game for Rondo, and could've been even better if he had 10 less attempts.

Signing KG is signing a player that will bring it 110% every single game... period. Until the day he retires.

Lol I can't lie.. i've been anti-Twitter since it launced but CelticNation is always a good reason to change my ways. I'll check it out tonight. I guess the hardest part will be coming up with catchy Twitter name haha.

Brad my man... whatever it costs is right. Sooo nassty. Looks like KG put his young man legs on this year.

BTW.. I've never seen any glimpse of Rondo's shooting abilities being key in the playoffs.. correct me if I'm wrong.

"He's not this team's primary scorer." I must say I couldn't agree more. Rondo needs to be left to do what Rondo does, and I don't wish for anything different. We have enough scorers on the team, and Rondo is the glue. His recent drop in assists can clearly be attributed to Doc and everyone in the stands saying "SHOOOOT." What no one gives him the benefit of is being passed the ball. Rondo shooting only means that now he's bringing it up the floor, not passing, getting open, and shooting. Sounds like Lebron James to me... except without the size and scoring ability. Why would we want that from Rondo? With players coming off of injuries and the new scorers added to our roster, his FG attempts will go down, and his assist totals will skyrocket. There's no reason for it to go any other way. So what if defenders play off of him? Rondo is good enough to use that to his advantage. I'm so over the Rondo chatter as much as I was over the Lebron/Heat chatter and the Melo/Trade chatter. I promise you that the C's would have surpassed the Spurs for the #1 if no one had ever gotten into Rondo's head to shoot more. Check Rondo's assists during loses. There's a clear pattern. His mentality at the beginning of the season was perfect and for some reason, people decided to change that.

Lol no, enemies of CelticNation do. It's like they still refuse to believe Big Baby is a threat.. period. Baby can have a beautiful game but the only thing the other side points out is his "acting" job, as if he's the only NBA player to sell a foul. Did baby exaggerate the hit? For sure. But he still got hit with an elbow. Refs see that and say "Pfft it's just baby" but then see Melo do the dougie in the paint next to Davis and BOOM... Foul. It's silly how biased refs can be, and how they can make calls... that they don't even see. I know officiating is difficult BUT if you didn't see it happening... why are you calling it.

They downplay everything Big Baby does. I'm used to it now. I just watch him fill up the stat line and stack intangibles.

What a finish. The hustle, the heart, the blood. You can't trade for that type of stuff. Glen Davis quietly contributing. ROOOOONDO... I love it when the kid passes, and the extra passes overall were key. Floor General = Pierce in Beast Mode at MSG. Soooo pretty. And what about Ray's mom giving Spike a hug... someone please make that snapshot available haha.
